The World is no longer the world. It’s an empire, and the surface of planet Earth is practically inhabitable after the series of events that would lead to the IFPS, or the Imperial Federation of Planetary States. The IFPS consists of the Milkyway and other adjourning lesser galaxies.
This new galaxy was made by humans, settled completely by humans, and it’s elite has a strong distrust of the everyday communications across the stars. Digital, those of emails, texting, etc, and even the phone call, go unused. Those are the ways of the general population, of the lower classes.
The rich and powerful use mail. This is where you come in.

Mailman posts for intergalactic travel are usually on the surface, dangerous. And you need a partner. His name is Hadrian Bowes.
The issue of right now:
There’s too many political factions in the layers on Earth. And too many Mailmen, a job position that calls for utter neutrality, are getting sharp new ideas. Where do you lie within these ideals? Or are you another stoic Mailman?
Another issue, actually:
The Empire seems to be splitting at the seams. You do not read the mail delivered, obviously, but with each delivery you gain only tidbits, but much more than everyone else, into the realm of the powerful— it doesn’t look good. You normally wouldn’t be able to do anything, but your customers are even getting suspicious of you.
In “The Mailman” you’ll be able to:
Play as any gender. You insert your own pronouns.
Befriend, romance, or become enemies with a cast of characters.
Bounce between planets and aid in the extraction of information concerning whatever political or societal entity you want to support.
Explore the halls of galactic palaces and places of excess.
The Characters:
Hadrian Bowes: Your Guide and closest pal. You two have been doing this for 6 years together.
Mary Witherspoon: A Mailman with an agenda. She doesn’t like you. She’s been a mailman for a decade now.
Agustin Soarez: Mary Witherspoon’s Guide. One of the best Guides around. Highly smart, and highly attuned to the ways of nature most have forgot.
Governor Farrah: Governor of Neptune. Being a leader on a gaseous giant is no small feat, and he has been sinking into paranoia over the last year. His court seemed empty the last time you delivered. Why?
Diane Apostolidis: Leader of The Barrens, the major underground crime syndicate that takes a savior status in the lower levels of the Earth. There’s not much on them except that they’re alive, and highly secretive.
Maya De LaCruz: A high ranking member of the LBA, or the Librarian Association. The LBA believes that Mailmen aid in the hiding of information that should be open to the public and disservice humans and their desire for knowledge. She’s on their council.
