I've just really gotten into makeup recently and have been getting pretty good lately, but the only thing I can never seem to get right is foundation. Do you have any recommendations for a foundation that works well with combination skin type?
I actually have combination skin and I use the nars luminous weightless foundation to combat my dry spots as well as a translucent finishing powder to combat my oily spots. You don't have to spend as much money as I do on a foundation though! There are a lot of cheaper liquid foundation and even bb cream alternatives.
Ok so I'm 15 and I want to wear more makeup then I already do (some eyeliner and concealer), but I'm too young for a job, and to get my license and my parents WILL not let me wear more. Any advice at all? It's ok if u don't.
Sorry it took me so long to respond to this! I didn't see it. Well, it seems like this is more of a family matter than a makeup matter, but I would try and sit down with your parents and talk about why they don't feel comfortable letting you wear more makeup. It sounds like your request is very reasonable (just eyeliner and concealer), so I would ask if, maybe even just for a week, you could try out that extra makeup and see if they become comfortable with it. Make sure you tell them that you don't want to go crazy with it, and just want the eyeliner and the concealer. Good luck! I hope when you are older you get to spread your wings and be the best makeup artist you can be!
Hello ! I love your page, I was looking through and wondering if you had any suggestions for make up school in LA or if you just have any advice for someone who's just getting started in make up what steps to take and where to begin because YouTube is helping but I want to really get the skills I need to do better Thank you!
I am sorry I am so late to answer this! If you go to your local Sephora, they usually have "classes" or quick tutorials on basic makeup do's and dont's, which are very helpful! They encourage you to buy product after the class is done. Also, if you spend $50 at Sephora you can request and schedule a free makeover. You can ask them to go over what products they are using and why, as well as how to apply to your face!
Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew good tutorials for girls like me who find it hard to put on makeup everyday due to disability? So like, low-energy, quick and easy type ones. :) Having low energy is a big problem for me and makes it hard to do even basic grooming sometimes.
Hey anon, I totally understand! Believe it or not, I have a disability that does the same thing to me! I actually don't put on makeup every day either. Sometimes, I'm just not feeling it, and that's okay! But for something quick and easy, here is a good starting point https://youtu.be/ylksMg6wJsUYou don't have to do the face wash in the beginning if you feel it is too taxing. You can break it up and do it at night if you want! Hope that helps.
I'm sorry I haven't been active lately. I have depression, PTSD, and severe anxiety. I've been trying my best to cope, but.. I have been having trouble. My therapist recommended a service dog and I think it is a great idea, but it is extremely expensive and not covered by any sort of insurance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much ❤
I'm pretty new to makeup (I'm 24, I've resisted this long but wanna start wearing makeup special occasions) (plus, I have super dark circles). My face doesn't get too dry and isn't oily, and I don't break out/have acne. I'm pretty pale and have a bunch of freckles. Do you think it would be better for me to use liquid or powder foundation? Thanks for any help/advice you can give!!
If you want to cover your freckles, I would use a light coverage liquid foundation or BB cream, and some cream or liquid concealer (Nars is good) for your under eyes for the dark circles. It helps if you use a lighter color than your face for the under eyes to give a highlighting effect and offset the circles (I have them too!). If you're not concerned with the look of your freckles you can go with a nice powder foundation (Bareminerals is good) and cream concealer for the under eyes. :) Hope that helps!
YOOOO so the kit and my foundation came yesterday! My babies ❤ The cream contour kit is AWESOME and I feel like the middle light color blends and actually looks better than the light color on the left. Just a heads up. The nars luminous weightless foundation is in the color Mont Blanc and is REALLY on the yellow side. I only needed one drop of this on my beauty blender to cover my whole face, so that's awesome. And I'm getting two liquid lipsticks in the mail tomorrow as well! Woop woooooop!
