Griffin: Do you ever kinda just lie awake and wonder how lucky you are to have such amazing people in your life?
Griffin: Because I COULD be stressing over my parents' gala tomorrow. But I'm just smiling at the ceiling because even though you're still at the library working on that stupid essay, I have you.
Mason: Cheeseball.
Griffin: I'm serious! You just make everything so much better, y'know? I'm so glad I came out to you. I'm so glad I know you.
Mason: Me too, G.
Griffin: Do you want to come to the gala? It's black tie and everything, but we can probably find an excuse to leave and find something cooler to do. Like bowling. Or the movies. Or driving down to New York and seeing a show. Wicked's still running.
Mason: Isn't having me at the gala kind of dangerous? Your parents are intuitive, G. They'll know something's up between us.
Griffin: So what? They wouldn't care enough to ask questions. And if things get weird, we can just leave. Please? We're getting a chocolate fountain. The really elegant kind. With strawberries.
Mason: I love strawberries.
Griffin: Which is why I suggested them.
Mason: Aw. :)
Griffin: So... come? Please? If we can't leave, we can at least go up to the my room and cuddle. Upstairs is off limits for guests, and you know my house -- it's too big for anyone to find us.
Mason: What about your parents?
Griffin: They'll be too busy talking about stocks and stuff with your parents to worry about where I am. C'mon, please?
Mason: Okay. But once we get out of there, I'm kissing you and holding your hand the whole time.
Griffin: :)
Mason: Love you, too.
