Here is some food for your noggin this beautiful Friday morning. Should female athletes be paid the same prize cash money as their male teammates in major tournaments? It seems like an obvious duh , right? yet, i've read "that not enough women compete enough to deserve the same prizes, that the females who compete need to encourage other females to compete..." The list of excuses goes on and on. I compete because there is no greater challenge emotionally and physically...training is a different and even more challenging animal. I regularly train with men who easily outweigh me by 30+lbs. We all are just as dedicated and work ourselves beyond most could ever imagine. So it makes sense for all of us to get equal everything yeah? This isn't a numbers game. This is an artistic sport where you could watch the same two people compete over and over again because they are that dedicated and talented. They are enough. They inspire me to get better and one day surpass their dedication and talents. That's not their job though, it's MINE. So do your thing ladies, whether it's training everyday, getting gold, being a mom, crushing it in a career, or supporting your friends, family and teammates--i know some that do it all...just know...you are enough and it's you that has the power to do whatever the hell you want. #getitgirl #competeornah #juststfuandtrain #jiujitsu #equalityforall #samepayinbjj (at golden state of mind 👑)
