Part 1 Finished

The mini-report for part 1 has been finished, the method we will use to set up the peer-to-peer network and print through it has been decided. We have already successfully connected the computers once.

Layouts and Topologies

The layout for the office in regards to the equipment and the type of topology has been decided. We have decided on a common star topology.

We have created an internet policy for the staff members of EduVisionTech so that they will use the internet connection ethically

Computers

We have decided on the computers, laptops and the printers we are going to use for EduVisionTech PTY LTD. We chose PC's that are able to connect to computers able to connect computer and do all business functions while still being at affordable price. It was also a special if you bulk buy. The Personal computers had good fast hardware and the printer was an affordable price printer.

Choosing Hardware

We have  decided on what Hardware we are going to use for our Buisness Area. We have chosen to use mainly products origanting from Dell as they are a known brand with a good reputation and a long lasting warrenty if there was to be any issues with the Hardware.

Servers With A Side of NOS

We have decided what server we are going to purchase for EduVisionTech PTY LTD and what network operating system (NOS) we are going to run on it. Again we chose the server from Dell as they have good prices for quality products, and the NOS was from Microsoft because Microsoft is one of the leading companies for operating systems and the such, as well as the server and other components of the network being compatible with Windows.
