Twenty one years after their depature from Narnia, Peter Penvensie, now a grown man, has made ends meet by working in the prestigious automotive factories of Jaguar. But although post-war Britain promises financial security and class advancement with the excitement of the "Swinging Sixities", Peter's role as an assembly line manager just about helps him to pay the bills and does little to offer a life of comfortability. Frustrated with his current line of work and self-inflicting pressure upon himself as the older brother, aware that his family are watching to see how he progresses in the world, Peter burys himself into work; pushing his team to build more cars than expected, surpassing their targets, increasing revenue and causing many of them to collapse from exhaustion. However, despite the rise in profit, the growth doesn't increase their wages and soon Peter is driven mad and loses his job after attacking his manager. But as he leaves, the roar of the car's engines start to sound animalistic, the hum of the motors more beast than machine, their vicious howl summoning him back to a familiar place, one he never thought he'd see again! There he finds Aslan, who presents him with a final journey, a quest to redeem himself, an adventure to seek the man he once was and the leader he must be reminded to be.
