Just found out Cody and Brandi Rhodes are leaving AEW. Definitely shocking. There’s also rumors he might be going to WWE.
So I guess HHH becoming All Elite is a real possibility now.

Mom-JF has opinions.
Even in that pic he does look like kind of a douche.
Don’t give the fans ideas!
I said what I said
I haven’t watched AEW in a while (personal reasons that have nothing to do with AEW’s quality), but I just found out NXT has moved to Tuesday nights! Yes! This is exactly what I wanted to happen! WWE’s attempts to undermine AEW failed and they move NXT to another night. This is good for NXT fans too because their show might do better without fans feeling like they have to choose. Party time!
Edan, turn on your location. Just want to talk. ( also what kind of asshole wants people who haven’t done anything wrong to be fired?)
Hate that they even had to do one to begin with but this was honestly one of the most beautiful tribute shows I’ve ever seen done.
I’m sad about the loss of Jon Huber/ Brodie Lee however the sadness has turned to anger when I remember that he spent the penultimate year of his life sitting at home instead of doing the job he loved because Vince McMahon is a petty asshole that desperately wants a monopoly. I also remember that an unfortunate number of WWE fans saw no problem with this while getting outraged at harmless things like Cody destroying a throne. We shouldn’t forgot that, we can’t just let that slide. The company that froze his contract last year are now claiming that they cared about him so much and posting best of Luke Harper videos as tribute. Bite me! I think a real tribute to Jon Huber is to be angry at the company and the man who screwed him over. Fuck Vince McMahon. R.I.P. Brodie Lee.
P.S. if you’re one of those people who didn’t raise any fuss over the contract freezings but did get upset when AEW poked fun at WWE or other stupid shit. Please re-evaluate your priorities. You can make up for it by being angry now.
This uhh. This ain’t it
Yeah. This ain’t it, bro.
I have no idea if OP’s blog name is satire for attention, but we all stopped being pissed at Vince’s booking of Luke Harper the moment we laughed about it when Brodie was on Talk Is Jericho. Then we were intrigued to see where the Mr. Brodie character was going. We then asked if Brodie Lee could have a great world title match against Jon Moxley, and they delivered on one of the better “COVID Era” Pay-Per-Views. He would go on to be the 2nd TNT Champion as an awesome anime boss foil for Cody Rhodes, culminating in what was sadly his final match: a dog collar match on Dynamite. Imma go back and enjoy that shit, not be pissed about what things didn’t happen for Luke Harper in WWE. (I’m also gonna go back and watch “Big Rig” enjoy gaming with his former WWE cohorts on Up Up Down Down.)
First of all my username isn’t satire. I’m typically very easy going. Secondly, this post isn't about how he was booked! God damn it people! I don’t give a shit about how he was booked. It’s about him being denied leaving for almost a year making it where he was only able to wrestle outside of the WWE for a year because Vince didn’t grant him his release in April of 2019 and rubbed salt in his wound by freezing his contract until releasing him in December. That plus 90 day no compete clause means he could wrestle outside of the company until February of 2020. This post is about how bs wrestling contracts work. I will make another post about this with a calmer tone, but I believe that wrestlers working for major companies should have opt out clauses in their contracts. Meaning that what Vince did to Huber won’t happen to any other wrestler.
While I agree with you about the “player option”, people who just watch WWE casually the way I watch the NBA aren’t going to get as pissed as we were when that happened. Also, the fact that it comes across like you’re using Jon Huber’s death to shit on WWE is why folks are cringing so hard right now.
I’m a casual watcher of wrestling and I never watched a single episode of Raw, Smackdown, or NXT! I’m mad because this is a worker’s rights issue and I have something called empathy. The idea of having to ask your boss permission to leave your job is a horror story for many of us. In fact I think the fact that I’m a casual fan is probably why I’m pissed about this. As I stated, longtime wrestling fans are probably just use to this kind of crap and are disillusioned. Also some of them flat out don’t care about wrestlers outside of the way they’re booked. They get pissed off if their favorite wrestler isn't getting a title match way more than the fact their favorite wrestler doesn’t have health care. It’s not surprising that people like you thought I was complaining about how he was booked.

Off the back of something @themellowaewfan said, just want to point something out: if you substitute Luke Harper for Jinder Mahal in 2017, it could've been one of their best years. Like if the goal at WM33 was to always have Orton win the WWE Title, then fine. But imagine Harper's suspicions about Orton in the Wyatt Family are proven right and he gets his revenge for the compound destruction by taking the title and going on this Kofi/Drew-esque 6-month push, before having AJ Styles (the guy who beat him for a title shot before WM33) take the title off him on a major Smackdown from London, England. We talk about how great Kofimania was (and it was) or how great 2020 was for Drew (and it was)...but then you remember how many would-be stars had pushes thrown to the wayside because of the limited, expired, out-of-touch vision of a billionaire megalomaniac. Anyways, rest in peace Jon/Brodie/Luke, and condolences to his dear family.
While I appreciate the shout out, please do not make my statement about him being “booked improperly” in the WWE. My issues happen to be with worker right’s violations which happens to be way more serious.

These responses are very telling and kind of funny because of how unsubstantial they are. Saying “This aint it” is not an argument. What you pretty much said was “I’m uncomfortable with this post (Probably because I called out wrestling fan’s complacency), but everything he said was completely factual so I can’t argue with this post, yet I still really want to.” What happened to Jon Huber was tragic so you better try a lot harder to argue with what I’m saying than just saying “This aint it”.

Things you love to see: AEW commenting on WWE’s tribute post of Brodie/Luke. It’s not about company wars or anything like that at this time. It’s about the wrestling world coming together to mourn a great man and father.
Apparently they have fights at weddings too. I guess that makes sense. Is is a family gathering.
Jericho didn’t assault Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy was just a victim of some family bonding with the inner circle.
Eddie Kingston is healing his family by having them beat up random people. Maybe that’s what the Bucks are trying to do.
