✧ LOZ - Prophecy of the Key ✧

Four hundred years ago, the Zonai Survey Team uncovered a prophecy in the depths underneath Kakariko Village. There were two translations of it, but after an altercation between one of the researchers, the second translation disappeared, along with the researcher. While this wasn't necessarily a problem yet, the Princess, Sacred Hero, and Sages decided to keep it a kept closely guarded secret, as they were still reeling from the past two events and did not want to panic the country further. Now, four hundred years later, the atmosphere of Hyrule starts to shift, and tensions are higher than ever. When the prophesized Key of the Goddesses, a Sheikah woman by the name of Koyi, and the Gerudo Prince of Thunder, a teenager isolated from the rest of the world, are finally found, neighboring nations are reluctant to help, discouraged by both their own issues and the heroes' mediocracy in well... everything. Six misfits from across the country band together to create Hyrule's elite force; a secretive Gerudo woman, a tired Goron, a loud Rito sibling duo, and, of course, Koyi and the Prince of Thunder. Together, under the guide of the Sacred Hero and Princess, and against the ever-growing threat of the Yiga, they must rush to unite the nations and save Hyrule.

I dont like the 3rd movie. Varangg lost her autonomy and just turned into that white mans goth "savage" gf instead of genuine leader. She was built up to be the main villain/antagonist of this movie but instead she was side lined. We hardly learned how she came to power how her culture thrives and how truly devastating they are to other navi. We only see small glimpse with ethier the Sullys or Quadrich on the screen. We never see them separately. We do get more glimpse of the magnwan in the game which I do appreciate.

I hate how they made half the movie about spider and kiris relationships. Besides it being pseudo-incest since they were raised together and spider literally calls jake DAD, lo'ak was narrating the whole movie. We hardly learn anything about his journey even thoughthe story was supposed to revolve around him. His whole arc was rushed and thus lost a lot of the emotional build up for me. I could not bring myself to care about him. Which sucks because he could have been a genuinely good character a ton of complexity.

I hate the way they portrayed Neytiri as "racist" when she genuinely has a real reason to hate humans. Racism as whole is supposed to not make sense since it was born out of putting down another race to build up the "white race". Its supposed to be an irrational system of oppression and making neytiris trauma "irrational" overlooks and demonize real people lives who went through this. Same with Nor. They slaughtered her sister, father, friend and people. They destroyed her home and burned her forest and forced her to leave her mother and people behind. She then eventually loses her son to very human shes being forced to like because he "loves" His father who was trying to kill the people he saw as "family". And shes supposed to sit there and take it without any hatred and resentment? Shes supposed be loving? Please.

Same with Nor. He was old enough to see and live with his people and thus was able to see them being slaughtered by the humans. He was THERE. Seeing thay is obviously gonna fuck up his development in some type of way and being around the very person who tried to lie and gaslight him about it is gonna lead to a bunch of fucked up feelings. Killing some of the people at the resistance was a bad decision and I think he knows that himself. Seeing the end of the fire and ash dlc you can see thay guilt eating him. That being said alma had it coming. Killing the navi who snitched on them to protect his own but letting the human who was one of the leading causes in the sarentus genocide live is unfair and pushes a fucked up narrative. She didnt even feel guilty about what she did. She just was guilty she got caught in her lie. If she wasnt forced to tell the Sarentu what really happened she would have kept that lie.

The whole trilogy is a repeat of the first movie without anything new added to the plot. Jake comes in learns the people ways then draw humans in because they are after him. People die so then he trys to persuade them not to fight. They fight anyway so it leads to the big battle. They fight and start to lose till eywa comes to save the day because of the sullys influence. Then jake and quchrich are left alone to fight. Qaurich escapes and then they mourn the dead and then it repeats. Its getting repetitive and disappointing.

Quadrich needs to die and fuck off. He was originally an intimidating character who held a rascist opinion of the navi. Then they kill him off. But oh! Hes back but as an avatar. I understand what they were trying to go for in terms of them bot being the same person but they dont push into the concept into the third movie. Its just a blue quadrich who now has a navi gf. Its still the same man. Him constantly coming back after he supposedly dies ruins any character development they're trying to go for and it plays into the movies repetitiveness.

That being said I dont hate the movies all together. I think they could have some massive potential in showing the reality for a lot of indigenous and black people's realities. But it being written from the white mans pov is whats harming its potential. They need to get a lot of black, brown, or indigenous, people on the team to fix it.

I was scrolling my on my FYP on TikTok and a came across this video that was 100% a total racist micro aggression towards Latinas. And you know whats worse? I saw that TWO OF MY MUTUALS REPOSTED IT!

It’s so weird to see Avatar fans do this kind of shit because the whole point of Avatar is to show what has happened and what is happening to indigenous communities around the world that have or are currently being colonized. It shows how racism plays a big important role when it comes to RDA towards the Navi. It shows how natural resources are being exploited because of human greed. And as well the deeper parts to it. Not to mention James Cameron take his inspiration for the Navi culture from actual indigenous cultures in real life!

And it’s weird for you as a fan of Avatar to repost micro aggressions towards a minority group! You’re a complete hypocrite and you look stupid as fuck.
