I keep thinking about thimble and occtis second meeting because surely he thought the first one was a fluke and that they would never meet again and that it takes many meetings for him to realize thimble (and thjazi) actually like him and want to be friends

Is Thaisha the only person Occtis said "I love you" to? And also the only person to say it back?

The Tachonis don't really seem the type to say anything like that and since we have zero info on Mama Tachonis for now (did she die in childbirth or when Occtis was very young?) I think it's likely that the first and only time that "I love you" was said was in episode 31.

Thaisha gave Occtis a needle. A piece of metal. Just like the one she gave to her biological son, Alogar, so she can find him. The same son that Occtis disguised himself to look like so he could pretend to be part of that family instead of his own. Except now with that needle, a compass for Thaisha to be able to find him, Occtis doesn’t have to pretend anymore.

Occtis didnt cry when he learned about his family's plans for him

Occtis just went to that secret place inside of him where he goes when everything goes bad

But the moment he saw Thimble again - boom

He breaks down despite not being able to cry anymore, he doesnt have the psychosomatic symptoms of sadness - no heartbeat, no brain chemicals, its all just his magic

His relief and his gratitude for seeing Thimble again superceded the Hollow part of him so he could breakdown like anyone else

He loved Thimble so much that he could believe, for a single moment, that he was alive enough to cry
