Bitter reunion

So I have been in a thought spiral since watching Occtis get bitchy and a little dark with everybody last night and wondering how it might affect my ship if that continues as a trend. And I've always got the idea of Laura wanting to play with some unrequited love angle with Thimble in the back of my mind, so. Even more thoughts because it's one thing if her feelings aren't reciprocated because of her size, like that makes sense but maybe it's a bit too obvious.

But what if that's not the issue between her and Occtis? What if it's the way he's changing since being killed? He doesn't experience fear or anxiety or pain anymore, but what if those aren't the only feelings that have been affected?

What if Thimble’s love wasn't (or wouldn't have been) unrequited at all before Occtis died, but him losing his instincts and feelings and only being able to consciously activate things means he doesn’t feel that love automatically anymore? He can learn to do it, choose to do it, but it’s not instinctual now.

It used to be something that was as easy as breathing. Now he has to work at both of those things.
