Long time, no post, everyone! I hope everyone is having a great day. I haven’t checked the news or forums yet, any big happenings I missed when I was conked out? :o

There was some weird event in Texas that scraped a road down to its foundations and melted…

Oh, apparently it was in Houston, which is 4 hours away from here by car. (Or maybe 10 hours, the way traffic was going here.) The only footage I could find on teh interwebz or on teevee was a short clip of Device and some other superhuman cleaning up the rubble. Seemed pretty well contained though, it was on a ground-level road not an overpass so at least there’s that.

Which actually wouldn't be a bad superpower, you could cause a lot of accidents and more likely, general annoyance among the population.

There was some weird event in Texas that scraped a road down to its foundations and melted a few cars, but it turned out to be a newly-awakened superhuman.

Inquisitor finally got verified.

Cold-Drinker seems to be on the move, judging by the satellite imagery.

Oh man, the superhuman sounds interesting. I’m guessing metal-based powers? Though road doesn’t contain metal…

And FINALLY, god, I don’t even remember how long it was since they first announced him. Like, come on, guys, be a little faster, this is ridiculous.

And oh dear. Any idea where Cold-Drinker’s moving to? :(

dunno why I’m explaining a thing to the 0 followers this blog currently has, I guess maybe so when people follow they can catch up? anyway

some of you may remember me deleting my blog in a fit of procrastinatory rage last semester and subsequently keeping studiously away from the unknowable black hole void that is Topplr ever since. well now I’m returning because apparently I am dumb and want my grades to suffer. and while I was away someone stole my AWESOME URL, so I had to grab some numbers to put at the end of it. so now I’m like the 25th papermint, or something, but YOU ALL KNOW I WAS THE ORIGINAL, so there.

so uh…. hey. i think imma try and organize this blog if at all possible this time around, so i don’t have that situation again of having to go through a million posts to find that mildly interesting or relevant one. dont expect it to be any less rebloggy though, i cant help it.

I’d like to think that as more people on Topplr opt for random dashes and making letters out of other letters to get good usernames, numbers are gonna kinda sorta wrap around and become really vintage and cool.

It’s basically a five-second horror film. I think the only reason it was allowed online in the first place was because no-one gets horribly murdered.

Ok like half of me is screaming “AAAH NO DON’T LOOK” and the other half is like “I must see this… for science” … so… send me the link? Don’t post it on topplr, I don’t want it on my feed. O_O I might regret this request as soon as I send it.

You’re right, they do kind of look like puppets if you see them from the right angle. Plus none of their limbs bend the right way.

Maybe they’re an influence (the monsters on CHYITT, not the other way round - that would be really terrifying).

It’s really short anyway, there’s hardly time to get scared. The rewatch value is pretty horrifying, though.

Sometimes I wonder where the Wiki people get their information.

I mean, some of these alternate Earth descriptions are pretty intricate, and we’ve only recently been sending expeditions to Earths with no human life.

Plus the only portals are the ones Schism abandoned or the ones that Device, Adamant and Interface opened with those weird gate things.

Maybe the Wiki people are actually from parallel Earths and they are hiding amongst us! WHO KNOWS.

How much archive footage did I need to go through? A lot!

Yeah, there’s a historical precedent of organisations not telling the public dangerous things, like what 564 even was for a while, and what happened in Manchester, what those weird lightshow things were that happened once every 13 months and so on.

But then it got out or someone figured it out and they came clean. The Benefactor’s League is much more transparent than it used to be and that is good and all, but no-one has any idea what’s up with the Chiasm Syndicate and their “classified superhumans” and those weird people with the coats and masks and things.

I wish we could say that all these organizations are the "good guys"...but we really can't. They're purposefully putting us in the dark...I wouldn't be half surprised if one of these days, one of those organizations just rose up and decided to take over the world...or whatever is left of it.

Maybe someone should go undercover, see what's up with those people. But it would probably result in them being killed before they can release anything. :/

To at least some extent, where the heck are powers coming from?

Is it sentient? What are the Cold Lights?

And so on and so forth. People have suggested aliens and things, and a friend of mine did their phd in the patterns behind superhuman powers as currently observed.

And I think there’s at least a couple of unis doing things about the effect on culture using Earth-Scarlet (pre-contact) as a baseline.
