Today I found out DOGE cut funding for the very specific eye injection my diabetic mother takes to be able to see. Why? No reason. Just to get rid of something.

I simply don't have words. They are killing people. They are killing all our people. Slowly and diabolically. Christ almighty she needs those injections to see

What I did was drive my gleeful mom to a regularly scheduled appointment and leave for boba, and when I came to pick her up she was frowning deeper than I've seen before. She pokes her heart and says, 'It's finally hit me now.'

I hear her explain how the injections that were WORKING TO RESTORE HER EYESIGHT FROM DIABETIC RETINOPATHY were CUT BY DOGE FOR NO DISCERNABLE REASON. She was forced to switch very abruptly to a less effective generic version, as in the doctors suddenly had no way to get her injection for her prescheduled appointment because DOGE denied them access.

The docs are trying to fight this. We all are. Hang on and stay strong 💪🇺🇸 Stay United.
