oh god I’m so sorry. A friend of mine has the same name, but without the fullstop and so I sent it wrong. I’m really sorry and didn’t want to disturb you. The weather is indeed not so good and I’m really drinking a cup of tea, but just because coffee would keep me awake.

"...What the fuck are you giggling at." Equus happened to walk past when Phil opened Rich's reply, and shot his roommate a despising look. He knew Phil's up to something when he giggled like that.

Rich hummed and dried his hair with a towel. Outside was a cold, rainy, windy storm and he prefered after a walk out there with Nishka to take a hot shower or a bath.
Now he felt warm and comfortable, so he sat down on the couch, nuzzled in a blanket and turned on his laptop, browsing through different sites and then suddenly he sent an email to the wrong adress, just because of a damn typo, just because of this fullstop.

Notification popped up on his desktop while Phil was just idly looking up the news. Nothing major on the news; a young man went missing, but hardly anyone paid attention to it, police was treating it as a runaway, by the time they started to second guess their assumption, all the evidences would be outdated and or destroyed.
"Cheers, indifferent society. Aren't we good partners." The brunette grinned at the computer screen and took a sip of his Earl Grey tea.
Going to his mailbox, Phil was expecting yet another random spam to put in the trash, while what he saw surprised him. After a few moments of thoughts, he clicked 'reply'.

I went home safely, thanks for asking. It sure is a hell of a weather. Perfect day to stay in and drink a cup of tea.

As the human accepted the handshake, Dogbane’s brows furrowed in confusion. He was a nearly 2,000 year old fallen angel, he’d never needed anyone to pay for his dinner, especially not a human. A smile crept onto his face as he shrugged, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. “Good fer both o’ us then, I’d wager.” Taking a seat across from Eddie he held his gaze steadily, “Believe it’er not, ‘m actually here of my own accord. Pity for yer friend though, ‘m a good date.” He rolled his head back and laughed, amused.
“Fancy a drink then, Eddie?” Motioning to a waiter, he then turned his attention back to the other man. “So, ye’ often in the business o’ sweeping in an’ coverin’ for yer friend?”
Eddie paused, falling into a moment of awkward silence as he realized Dogbane wasn't exactly the person he was expecting. Too late, and too rude, to ask the other to leave. Plus, he wasn't so keen to meet with Phil's blind date anyway. As a result, the 34 year-old doctor cleared his throat and ordered a glass of scotch when the waiter came to take their orders.
"More often than you thought." he let out a dry laughter in account of Dogbane's question, "Though I would hardly consider him a friend. More of an... acquaintance. We live together. He would do my laundry for a week if I agreed to do this."

Extremely-sarcastic death stares. There must be something behind it. ”A real estate agent? Great,” he started, smiling widely. “I was looking a home, actually.”
"You are?" It was no fake delight. Phil genuinely loved his job. His job let him know where people live. And it came in handy sometimes. "What kind of houses are you looking for?"

“—Yes.” He turned his head left and right, as if something were lost and it was his job to get it back. Well, if you count his laziness despite what went on in his mind everyday, then it was completely understandable that on this peculiar day, an object of importance decided to go missing. “I lost something; my cellphone. It has a black and red stripped case and an old, faded blue string attached to it. I was supposed to contact my professors on different grading methods today, but it looks like they will have to do without me.”
Eddie immediately took out his phone. "What's your number?" he asked, "I haven't seen a phone in black and red stripped case, but if you lost it here we can call you on your phone and see if we can hear it."

“Sorry?” Dogbane looked up at the man opposite him, unsure of what to say, he smiled awkwardly, “A man o’ good taste, then.” He was getting worse with humans all the time. Maybe he’d retire, settle down somewhere nice; like purgatory. Looking a little defeated, he held out a hand to the stranger, mostly because he fancied himself polite and he felt obligated. “Dogbane.” He announced his name, anticipating the handshake.
"Take it from me: stay the hell away from him." He sneered, taking the other man's hand and gave it a firm shake, gesturing the man to sit down on the other side of the table. "I'm sorry Phil couldn't make it. I'm Eddie, Phil's friend. He asked me to tell you that he's terribly sorry and he'd pay for the dinner." Story goes that Phil was supposed to meet up with someone he met online today but something came up blah blah blah, so Eddie ended up being here as the miserable friend. He didn't question Dogbane's name because he could imagine any online nicknames worse than that.

Ethan blushed darkly as the other mentioned dinner, smiling softly. “Yeah, seven sounds great. Do you have a number I can reach you at?” he asked, taking a deep breath to calm his heart that was slamming painfully in his chest.
"Oh, yes! I almost forgot." Phil exclaimed and took out his card from a small metal case, "Here's my name, here's my office number, and here..." he pulled out a pen, jotting down his number on the back of the card, "Here's my cell."

"Ugh, you picked the right question to make me look completely boring." Phil chuckled, pointed at a business building nearby, "My office's over there. You caught me on my lunch break."
