You can't! Like any academic field, History is a process of publishing findings, getting fact-checked by your peers. Historians aren't allowed to cum unless they're calling someone else a fraud.

one nice thing about being a person who still has an ungodly attachment to fictional characters but also has gone to therapy is like. sometimes i DONT relate to the blorbo. we dont have the same trauma, and thats ok, but they still fucking fascinate and enthrall me. i dont have to bend over backwards to compare their weird fantasy trauma to mine to feel seen or to use them as an outlet. im like yeah honestly cant relate but i do think id die for them and think of them daily. do i still have the "oh he is just like me fr" blorbos? sure but. i have emotional intelligence now. some of them i just want to put in a jar and shake them.
