This is probably my favourite version, maybe because of the somber,fretless bass, maybe Anderson’s somewhat odd voice.??
Even if the legendary Chet Baker played the Trumpet solo on Elvis’ version and he created the words for the melancholy stylings delivered by Wyatt, for me this version really works, and I feel like it’s so relevant.
The author of the lyric for the song “Ship Building” was not the one who originally recorded it.
