Can confirm. I was at Costco today as well, and witnessed many people stopped in the middle of the aisles for no reason... whyyyy

Welp I had my okay to start exercising last Friday, so today I finally got around to it! I did 20 minutes on the bike and then a 20 minuteish Youtube postpartum cardio workout, followed by some super easy pelvic floor work. It was actually great! I felt so good about working hard for the first time in like 7-8 months (minus my backpacking trip at 5 months pregnant).
I am heavier postpartum than I was with any of my other three, and realistically I have 30-50 lbs to lose (30 to be at the high end of my goal range and 50 to be at my ultimate goal weight). I am a little overwhelmed at the road ahead but I know itās possible with consistent effort, and that once I lose it this time I wonāt have to worry about gaining baby weight ever again! So that helps.
I finally had my baby (9 days late) on Dec 19th, 2020, and regardless of anything else that happened last year, she made it a good one.
Happy New Year! Hope you all had something that made your 2020 a good one, too, but if notā hereās to 2021 ā¤ļø
Almost done! Iāll be 38 weeks Thursday.
Iāve struggled a lot with my body image this pregnancy (so stupid to worry about that while pregnant but thatās who I am). Iāve gained almost 40 lbs, way more than any other pregnancy so far, and Iām just feeling very anxious about what will be left of me after I have this baby.
But I just need to remember I will be okay, my body and weight do not define me, and to focus on the amazing first few weeks and months of life of what will (hopefully) be my last little baby.
Deep breaths. Itās about to get crazy up in my house with four kidsš
Not as good as my fish tacos but these chicken taco wraps were pretty good too! Iāve been on a lettuce wrap kick, they are really hitting the spot š
I made these the other day, fish tacos with homemade kale slaw (I used leftover kale salad mix and added cilantro, lime, red onion, and a dash of chipotle aioli I had on hand). I tossed some halibut in some olive oil and Cajun seasoning and threw it in the air fryer.
They were so good! If I had had avocado on hand, it would have put them over the top.

A rare moment wearing my hair down in the summer. itās so freaking hot here
Instagram and FB ads are really starting to pick up on my itch to buy baby clothes and Iām not going to be able to resist forever....
Throwback to when I went to FL earlier this year and was actually in pretty okay shape after my third baby... Iām determined to get back to this after this last one is born
I did it!! I went backpacking through the trinity alps almost 5 months pregnant... I can do hard things! It was very hard, especially with the altitude, and going uphillā especially in the sun (see my fried arms), but by golly I did it!
Me, to my husband, tears in my eyes:
āHun? Would you.... could you
Could you make me a quesadilla?ā
Iām still here, still pregnant, still nauseous....
I will be 15 weeks this week and still no end in sight for the nausea. I cried twice this weekend because Iām just so tired of being sick and not feeling like doing anything because of it.
In other news, I decided to go on a backpacking trip with my dad, husband, and some other family. My dad has wanted me to go forever, more than fifteen years, and it just hasnāt ever worked out. This year I could tell he was disappointed I would be pregnant because it meant I wasnāt going. I said, well screw it, if you donāt mind me going slow and being out of shape, why canāt I go?!
So I have that to look forward to/dread next month. Hereās hoping my nausea has completely cleared up by then. I know for sure Iāll be completely out of shape and not ready, but if I take it one mile at a time and stay hydrated I think Iāll be okay.
I was able to get my first ultrasound this morning, I got to see the heartbeat and thank goodness everything looks perfect so far.
Still sick af but I got some unisom to take with B6 vitamins and hopefully that will start to kick in.
Already gained 6 lbs, my body is not playing this time around š
Iām super nauseous and eating nothing but bland carbs but otherwise doing ok!
I am waiting until June to tell my family (my mom was already planning on flying out here in June) but Iām worried my dad will notice something is up because most days Iām lucky to get more than 200 active calories on my Apple Watch š
One of the biggest symtptoms Iām having so far is extreme tiredness. I want to take a nap every day... I usually donāt though, I prefer to just lay down (luckily my husband is working from home so I can have an hour or so to myself in the afternoon if I need it), because Iāve had such BAD insomnia also. So I donāt want to make it worse by napping. I havenāt been getting to sleep until at least midnight every night and then I keep waking up in a panic. I pulled out my weighted blanket last night and that seemed to help a bit.
But the point is Iām very tired, and keeping active is the last thing I want to do. But I also know from my previous pregnancies that neglecting myself physically (not exercising/being active) makes for a more miserable experience during and after. So even if I just take the dog for a walk or do a quick YouTube workout video, that is a huge win for me. Right now I am laying in bed but as soon as I get a bit of a second wind Iāll go on a walk or something.
