Adrian is a city boy at heart, having grown up in the heart of Ontario since he was a baby. He's always been fascinated by the inner workings of technology, he would take apart pens and try to put them back together. He used to hear the roar of engines outside his home and want to know how that sound was made. For as long as he could remember, he dreamt of becoming a mechanical engineer. It was perfect for him.
However, when he was 16, his parents could no longer look after him. He never told anyone why. It's not their business. All they need to know - if that - is that now he lives with his mum's cousin and her family, the Seaforths. Adrian still loves inventing, he's still a perfectionist, but he has a new drive. He wants to know why things go wrong and how he can stop it.
Julia Seaforth is a bit too loud for his taste, but she's nice. She has some calmer friends. She dragged him along to the choir and, he maybe wouldn't admit it in front of anyone other than Robin and Calypso, but he loves it. He's obsessed with the harmonies, how the vibrations mix together to stir up deep emotions. The way the atmosphere circled together at the top of the peak was just like that. Perfect.
