Unfortunately, a matchmaking issue was discovered in the first Japanese Splatfest that resulted in long wait times and players unable to join matches. We have been working on a solution but will need a little more time to resolve the issue. In order to ensure that fans have the best possible experience and can enjoy the fun they’ve come to expect from Splatoon, we have decided to postpone the first North American Splatfest. We’ll have details on a new date soon!

“Gah…” Icy huffs a little and rests her head on top of the counter. SHe had just gotten through a rather large rush of customers hoping to beat the heat with some ice cream, and is more than happy to finally take a breather. “Boy…Summer sure is a fun time…”

the Inkling sighed as she was roaming a town she had no idea of and wiped he head, it was too hot as well

she gasped as soon as she found an ice cream shop and grinned. she then ran into the shop and looked for the counter and slowly approached it, feeling cooler already

Icy had seen the…squid thing…enter the shop. But she did not move or react. Instead she kept her head on the counter and watched her tiredly. “Ehh…I think the heat is messing with my head…”

As Brandy finally decided on what flavor she wanted, she went to the counter and blinked for a moment, she never realized that ponies were everywhere and felt a little strange but nonetheless she wanted ice cream

“umm, could i have some vanilla ice cream please?” she asked, looking down at the pony

Another girl with tentacles for hair and black markings around her eyes?  If experience was any clue, than this was an Inkling like Marie was.  Unlike the pop idol that Mario met in the past, however, this Inkling was looking more sporty, definitely ready for action.  And those blue tentacles could definitely let her stand out from a crowd!  There was more to these Inklings than Mario knew about, huh?  Perhaps it was best to take things one step at a time.

“Hello there!”  Mario greeted the blue Inkling.  “That’s some nice-a-gear you got on!”

The Inkling heard a voice and turned around, facing her was a medium to smallish man, with blue overalls and a red hat

“uhh, hey there!” she greeted back, feeling a bit unsure of what to say to the man “uh, thanks!, err, nice overalls?” she said, smiling nervously
