Commission for @wanderingcas based on her fic Where There Is Darkness!!!! Ahhhhh so excited to post these!!! Yall when i say this fic broke me, i mean it. Like i dont want to spoil anything, but the scene at the jetty,,,,, i was crying so hard. Go read it!!! That nose kiss is one of my fave things ive ever drawn😅

I'm mostly familiar with your destiel art, but I see you've ventured into HR too! I'd love to know more about your process. I remember seeing your art for Angel's Wild and being blown away. Was it daunting taking on such a big commission? How do you go from idea to finished piece?

Omg hello!!!! Thank you so much!!! Ngl Angel's Wild was,, well, wild😅 it was more like,, everyone knew itd take a while to complete than daunting. If im not forgetting something, it was 8 illustrations and a bunch of sketches? So it was a lot!

The thing that was hilarious about AW was that i, like, i assume, many artists, hate drawing feet. And yet, cas was barefoot in every single one of those illustrations. Sometimes dean too. So that was fun!

Im adding my process for one of the AW pieces under a cut cause thats a lot too😅 Also adding a video at the end!

Alright!! So first we discussed which scenes we were doing based on the text, and then i draw some thumbnails on my sketchbook just so we can decide on the composition, these are supposed to be very very rough.

Then once we decide, i draw a sketch, somewhat more detailed but still very rough. This is a stage where a lot of changes can happen still so i dont want to commit to something and end up erasing it

Then i finish up the lineart and do the flat colours

Then do the background and add shading through various overlay/ multiply layers

And now that i have all my colours set and ready, i just paint over everything and make any needed adjustments😅 Also important to note that beyond this point no major changes can be made cause ill die😅

Whats also extremely funny is to see how my file ends up looking after all the reference pics have accumulated 😅

Years ago, Castiel’s world shattered when his father disappeared. With no other choice, his mother rented out their family home to tourists, forcing them into a small shed at the back of the property.

Today, Dean returns to the island where he spent every summer, this time for work and not the blue-eyed man who once stole his heart.

Today, Cas works in his family restaurant, content with life, until, after years of silence, the one who broke his heart returns to the island.

If you love summer vibe fics with lots of angst, give it a go!!! Both Macy and Malic did such an incredible job and this story is so close to my heart, highly highly recommend!!!

Shane worries at the idea like a loose tooth. He's never seriously considered a tattoo before, genuinely hasn't even idly imagined getting one, but now the idea is firmly lodged in his mind. He avoids admitting to himself he's even contemplating what he would get, but in his heart he has known since he scrolled the account and saw a particular piece. A lily.
