Michael Egan was a child actor who was the victim of a pedophelia ring. Egan was molested, raped, drugged and threatened with violence at the hands of producers, investors and directors.
In 1998, when Egan was 13 years old, his mother moved with him to Hollywood to pursue an acting career. A fellow actor and classmate soon brought him over to the M&C Estate, a mansion owned by now convicted sex offenders Marc Collins-Rector and Chad Shackley. Shackley, Collins-Rector and a third man, Brock Pierce had been developing internet-based TV shows under the name DEN.
Egan was offered $600 a week to do odd jobs around the estate, and was eventually given a starring role in a DEN production. Meanwhile, the M&C estate was becoming notorious for it’s wild parties featuring heavy drugs and young teenage boys.
Egan, and other child actors recounted the rules of M&C, such as not being allowed to wear clothes in the pool area. They also remember Collins-Rector threatening them with a handgun for resisting his advances.
One boy, identified only as Daniel, left in his suicide note; “I can’t go on. I let them use me as a sex tool. I let those assholes do all those terrible things to me. Good-bye.” He also recounted in the note, an incident where men at the estate tried to convince him to take ecstasy. He refused, and he believes because of this his drink was drugged. Later in the night, he asked one of the home owners if he could go to sleep. The man replied that he could sleep in his bed, but only if he were nude. Daniel refused this offer and went to sleep on the couch. The next day he woke up in the mans bed, his clothes on the floor beside him.
The victims recalled being naked in the hot tub with potential investors as enticement for funding of DEN projects. They would be passed around, literally placed with men. When Egan was 17 years old he recalls that he was passed by Collins-Rector to X-Men director Bryan Singer, and made to sit on his lap. Singer forced Micheal’s head underwater in order to make him perform oral sex on him. When Egan came up to breath, Singer demanded the boy continued, but he refused. Singer then took the 17 year old out of the tub and forced him to continue there. He then anally raped Micheal.
On another occasion, Egan says Singer forced him to snort cocaine. He then raped him orally and anally, as he had before.
