I haven't been on here, and no one reads them, so I'll write.
Hello. So, the medicine for my chrone's disease has been raised by almost 200 dollars in the past 24 hours. I get a new pill bottle every 20 days.
This is crippling to both me and my income.
Not affording this medication means I'll get weaker, and eventually die.
This means I'll pay whatever price they put on the label. They know this. They are evil.
I'm glad it's Chrone's disease, because only me is strong enough to kill me.
"You're so cute"
An idea for a new album.
Self-Healing Plastic ‘Skin’ Points Way to New Prosthetics
Researchers in California may have designed a synthetic version—a flexible, electrically conductive, self-healing polymer.
The result is part of a decadelong miniboom in “epidermal electronics”—the production of circuits thin and flexible enough to be attached to skin (for use as wearable heart rate monitors, for example) or to provide skinlike touch sensitivity to prosthetic limbs. The problem is that silicon, the base material of the electronics industry, is brittle. So various research groups have investigated different ways to produce flexible electronic sensors.
Chemists, meanwhile, have become increasingly interested in “self-healing” polymers. This sounds like science fiction, but several research groups have produced plastics that can join their cut edges together when scientists heat them, shine a light on them, or even just hold the cut edges together.
To demonstrate that both the mechanical and the electrical properties of the material could be repeatedly restored to their original values after the material had been damaged and healed, the researchers cut the polymer completely through with a scalpel. After pressing the cut edges together gently for 15 seconds, the researchers found the sample went on to regain 98% of its original conductivity. And crucially, just like the ESPCI group’s rubber compound, the Stanford team’s polymer could be cut and healed over and over again.
“I think it’s kind of a breakthrough,” says John J. Boland, a chemist at the CRANN nanoscience institute at Trinity College Dublin. “It’s the first time that we’ve seen this combination of both mechanical and electrical self-healing.”
Definitely worth the short read.
SCIENCE.
What?!
Death is weird, man (and other idiotic musings)
A family friend died recently.
It doesn't even phase me anymore. When I was small, I used to think that I was immortal, and the more I realized I wasn't the more it became imperative that I be afraid of death. Why? If something is inevitable, then what possible reason do we have for being afraid of it?
I think the reason people mourn when a person dies is because they know deep down that that person isn't coming back. I think somewhere inside is the knowledge that they don't want to come to the realization. I want to see my sister, but I know that I can't. I've come to grips with this. I don't know why she became a beacon, and I'm well aware that being someone being dead doesn't make them suddenly perfect, or a role model, but she was just there.
I had a talk with my friend Clara today about role models.
I told her about Mrs.Fortenberry, a teacher that I had for "gifted" and Drama in the 6th grade through my Jr. High Career.
She helped me when I was picked on for not having a southern accent, being fat, being constantly quiet, and studdering.
By the middle of my 8th grade year, I was articulate, and didn't care what people thought about my voice, partly because I had a bit of a southern twang, partly because I could emulate accents without studdering, without anxiety, without fear, and had joined the football team and started rapidly shedding weight.
Then my sister died.
It hit me like a sack of rocks.
I straight-up bawled for a week in a drama class.
but I suppose I emerged a better man for that, and I'm grateful.
Also, I have a pretty boss girlfriend now.
UH.
my wtf face.
ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY DEADPOOL
This isn't really the medium for short stories, but I'll try to write.
-January 1st, 2003-
Today I found a machine in the chest Grandad left me. I don't know what it is, or what it's made of I only know that it has the words "Don't let me down Ken." Engraved on the back. It was the only thing in the chest that wasn't for Mom or my cousins. He always told me that He would need me one day. I need to get some sleep.
-January 3nd,2003-
Couldn't post yesterday, Mom dragged me to a pre-funeral. I think that's a little fucked up. I told Mom that if I go into a coma and she holds a pre-funeral, I'll possess her if I actually do die. But that's unimportant, because SHE was there. I had seen her twice, maybe, at the hospital. She hadn't even gone into his room, just stood in the hallway staring at the door. Anyway, She was in a black gown, her eyes fixed upon the empty casket that would eventually hold his body when his wife ran out of funds to support the bills. I walked up to her to ask her how she knew him, but I couldn't speak. I don't know if it was my innate fear of women, or the fact that I'd met her before the accident.

Today, I found some gears, at my door, large WOODEN cogs. I don't understand. They were crafted so perfectly. They were labeled on the inside. Some with some basic Letter and some with weird markings I couldn't identify. They fit perfectly into each other. They were pristine, except for some scratches around the ends. I don't get it.
-January 5th-
Today I received an aluminium box with small indentations bearing resemblance to the symbols on the gears on TOP of my mailbox. I put all the wooden cogs in the metal box and nothing happened, although there is a hole on the side of the box that makes a small click when I twist inside of it with a small pen. I can get enough leverage to sustain much momentum though.

Problem Solved! Today a purple crank came in the mail. No return address though. I put the crank in and it a weird noise. I'll link an mp3 and you guys can figure it out. I got nothing.

IF YOU WANT MORE LET ME KNOW.
This is just a great song.
I hate these guys. Here's some OC
I will blog about random things, but mostly things I hate.
I can't really add more clarity, as a man of conviction I occasionally get very angry about things and then I will post them here.
