Last night St. Nick came, but Calla woke up and thought it was the Grinch. She doesn't get this whole Christmas concept.

Tonight I asked Calla who she was going to see tomorrow. The first thing she said (very excitedly) was "Miss Melissa!" And I asked her who else. "Ms. Tempriese" "And?" "Bridget!" "And?" "Keegan!" "And?" "Tiago!" She usually just says "Miss Melissa" and "Grandmas!" So I was extra excited that she named off friends. I was always so nervous about daycare, but I am confident that it was the right choice for us. Everyday she is so excited to go to "school".

I got my wisdom teeth out on Friday and I felt kinda bad because Calla didn't get to do anything really. Today was super nice and she played outside for maybe a half hour. We aren't going to get very many 60+ degree days in November and this weekend was wasted. I did take her to Target and Brookfield square and she was in love with the Christmas stuff. She is so excited and it's so cute. I just want to decorate everything and make it all Christmasy, so hopefully Jordan getting a job will help.

C: No, mommy! Target!

Calla: Good morning, mommy!

Me: Good morning, baby!

C: I'm so happy to see you.

M: Me, too!

C: I promise! I love you, mommy. I'm going to eat eat a bagel. I be back. Goodbye!

We didn't get to go trick or treating because it was freezing and raining and gross. But we did go to a Halloween party so she got to be Tinkerbell!

Last night Calla went to sleep without a bottle. She woke up dry in her diaper and went on the potty when she woke up. She even told me she had to go more! Maybe the end is in a very distant horizon... Finally.

Calla started daycare today and I am so excited for her. They said she was adjusting nicely and only struggled at nap time. She's not on their sleep schedule yet and it was the first time without a bottle. Jordan is attempting to put her to bed right now and we're trying to do it without a bottle. She keeps asking for it. I'm hoping it's not a long night, I really need sleep.

Today we toured a daycare, and they talked about how all the two year olds were weaned off bottles and sippy cups. We never give her bottles during the day, but she has only started using a regular cup for a few weeks. Am I late? I can't help it, I want to snuggle her with her bottle before bed. Waaaaaaah.
