Mob Psycho Cosplay (kinda)

I didn’t make it myself, it’s a very lazy cosplay and I messed up the size when I ordered it… So my head looks tiny.

Mob’s stare is also harder to mimic than I thought I just look like I want to stab something but meeeeh it’s my first cosplay.

I’ll be at Japan Expo Sud in March tho!!

I've been to BronyCon 2019!! Cosplaying as Fluttershy and responding with kindness to everypony out there!!

I am a big fan of Wonder Woman but I wanted to create a cosplay that reflected my Hispanic heritage. I looked at many Mexican baile folklórico traditional dresses for ideas. Once I had an idea for the design, I contacted a friend that lives in Tijuana Mexico who runs a sewing business CostuExpress ([email protected])

The costume was delivered to be prior to San Diego Comic Con. My daughter who loves makeup wanted to do my make up and helped me with hair. I have a black long haired wig that I thought would be perfect for braids and creating an updo. I went to Walmart to buy flowers to place in my hair like a Frida Kahlo inspired crown. Frida Kahlo is my favorite artist. I wanted lots of colors so I went with red, yellow and gold artificial flowers.

I am an elementary school teacher and I love cosplaying characters I love and adding my own twist to reflect me. In the past, I have dressed up many times as Wonder Woman so I have a tiara and the armbands which I used in my current version of her.

As soon as I caught up with the manga, I knew I wanted to cosplay Hawks. I love how complicated his storyline is, and his design is amazing. I drew heavily on one of my favorite Hawks cosplayers for my design (Isaisanisa). I knew I wanted to debut him at Otakon because I wanted to shoot him with my favorite photographer ( Clouds Cosplay Photography ).

Unfortunately, I am a con cruncher. My Hawks cosplay was put together essentially in 48 hours, with the help of my significant other, energy drinks, sweat, and tears. Hot glue and fabric scissors became my best friends. The wings were made of screws, PVC pipe, fabric, hot glue, and felt.

I have become so much more confident and genuinely happy since I got heavily into cosplay. I enjoy the craft, and I love meeting new people who share my love for nerdy things during conventions! I have made a ton of new friends in this community, many of whom have become friends for life.

I came up with the idea of Pirahna Plant when my fiance and I wanted to do a Super Smash Bros Ultimate group with our friends for Otakon! We wanted to do odd characters so he chose Olimar, and I chose Piranha Plant. I liked the idea of challenging myself on how to make myself into this iconic plant haha

I used EVA foam to make the head, leaves, and pipe, and worked on it off and on for about 3 months. The green outfit I wore was just constructed by items I found on Amazon, but I’m really proud of how simple but effective my costume became. 

I started cosplaying 9 years ago, and I can’t imagine my life without it. Cosplay has shown me what it’s really like to belong to a community, and I couldn’t be more thankful.I’ve met so many amazing people, it’s how I met the love of my life! Heck, he even proposed in cosplay! It’s been a huge part of our lives, I couldn’t imagine a better way he could have asked me to be his player 2. ❤
