Merry Christmas, and Happy Hanukkah
Sailor, he's actually my dad's, dad got him like 20+ years ago when he was a mover, I think. His hair and beard are real rabbit fur! Not mine yet, but everyone knows I get him when dad dies.
Little Lord Privater, 2024, this year's official nutcracker, he's the son of the Privater and he dresses up like his daddy. As I recall, Lord can be a title for someone who's parents have a higher title they would inherit their title.
Princess in waiting, 2025, gift from my friend Alec! Her name is Clara, it's a traditional family name (like Zelda is in LOZ). She's princess in waiting because she's the Prince's fiancé
Steven Seigfried (left) and Gregory George Gerlad (right), 2022, thus far they are the only ones with proper names not titles, that's because they aren't people, they're statues. Big ones. Like you see in Lord of the Rings and other fantasy. Seigfried Steven is the first king of the nation, the founder if you will, his crown is the same as the Emperor wears but with some changes due to time ( getting stolen by the Rat King, gems taken to make the Prince's crown, etc.) Gregory George Gerald was his right hand man, without him Seigfried would not have been able to establish the nation.
Jewish nutcracker, 2022-23, the first one I got myself! He was just a kid's craft kit but I completely did my own thing. Worked on him on and off for about a year. Decided to make his colors white blue and gold and was carful to make the dreidle with the correct symbols/letters. Only just this year added his beard.
Wooden soldier, 2023, I got this guy as plain wood, designed, burned and stained him myself! He's shorter than most of the others
Timekeeper, 2021, my younger older sister and nephew (who was 4 or 5 at the time) got him for me
Drosselmyer, 2020, ok I think he is actually my favorite. I mean, Look at him; he's Perfect!🥰
Chef, 2023, he actually didn't have a beard so I gave him one!
Toy maker, 2020, I love him. That is all.
Watchman, 2012, he's actually my older sister's, our parents gave her him because she loves all things wood. He's a honorary member of the Nutcracker army
Cavalryman, 2023, the first actual nutcracker I bought myself, we was unique and I just couldn't say no. After I got him I realized his sword was broken, so I made one using a wood popsicle stick!
Standard bearer, 2024, I actually bought him myself! I saw him a few years ago but regretfully passed on him, but I saw him again, and he was discounted! After I got him I realized he was broken, pole partially snapped near the top and standard coming off, but that's OK! I fixed him! Now he's a proper member of the Nutcracker army!
Bugler, 2018, while he's shorter than others he's actually a music box! There are wires attached to his arms and jaw, so when it's wound they move! Plays the song "we wish you a merry Christmas "
Drummer, not sure what year at least 2018
Soldier, one of my first so 2012 or 2011?
Soldier and Emperor were definitely my first two, just can't remember which one was first or what year
