under US law, it's illegal for anyone who's not a member of a recognised native tribe to own an eagle feather. the penalty is a $100,000 fine.
14 years ago when I had recently moved to Alaska, I went hiking with an Aleut friend, and she pointed to a feather lying on the ground and said "hey that's a bald eagle tail feather, you should grab it!" and I was like "uhh I'm very white and that's very illegal" and she went "they're fuckin everywhere up here man. I have 20." so she grabs it off the ground and hands it to me and says "there, now it's a ceremonial gift from an indigenous person."
and I'm like, okay, cool, I guess this is how we do things in Alaska. nice.
so I keep this bald eagle tail feather around for years. display it in my home among other cherished memorabilia from places I've lived and visited, etc.
on a whim, I have just now looked it up. there is no exemption to that law for a ceremonial gift from an indigenous person. the last 7 years I lived in the US, I was technically a bald eagle poacher.
probably a good thing I don't intend to move back there anytime soon. I wonder what the statute of limitations is on bird crimes.

i just got the "see where your blood has gone!" email from giving blood but it glitched and just showed me my current location. which. theyre not wrong. that is where most of my blood is
i cant believe that there's still gamergate STANK on games that women enjoy. NASTY misogyny residue. stardew valley is in fact a video game. animal crossing is also a video game. so are otome games and dating sims and twee little cozy games. sometimes a bitch doesnt wanna play bloodborne that shit's hard
guys who mainly play 2k and fortnite will still be like oh youre not a real gamer for having 1000 hours in stardew. mother fucker you're larping as a basketball player
idk I can tell that some tumblrinas are not up on fat politics because I see a lot of people saying stuff like “it’s better to be a little fat than waste your life trying to be thin” or like “it’s chic to have a little belly” like okay but there are fat people who are “a lot fat” and have “a lot of belly” which everyone is weirdly silent on all the time. Like the fattest person on earth still deserves to exist in human society with joy and dignity regardless of how they got to that weight or how many health conditions they have as a result of their personal actions…that should be everyone’s baseline here I’m not really sure what’s complicated about it

Spielberg Film Revealed To Have Been A.I.
FIJMU News 8-8-26 by Kate Captcha
Though only a few critics believe that effects companies on Steven Spielberg's newest film "Disclosure Day" may have used Generative AI to enhance some of the animal fx, the new attention on his ouvre oveure body of work has revealed that another Spielberg film may have in fact been entirely A.I.
Spielberg's 2001 film of the Kubrick-Developed adaptation of Brian Aldiss's "Supertoys Last All Summer Long" was a modest success in its day, but the film was mostly ignored in favor of his later blockbusters with Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio. Upon re-examination of the film however, numerous signs of it being all A.I. surfaced such as this:
Note how Jude Law, an actor never confirmed to have actually existed, appears unnaturally polished and digitally "cleaned up." Or how in this shot of New York, the ocean looks a bit CGI and is somewhat higher around the Statue of Liberty than the real life coastline:
The smoking gun however may be in the credits:
As you can see circled in red, an A and an I appear nearly consecutively in order, perhaps a plea for recognition by an AI writer or credit artist. Truly a damning idea for Mr. Spielberg if true.
What is your stance on the issues?
extremely underrated subgenre of tumblr post: when someone makes a general statement about something, and another person offers a counter-statement that's just completely nonsensical, and the OP just agrees instantly even if it makes no sense at all
examples:
- no fear
- what if the milf hated communism
- one fear
The Superman one they did is even funnier.

people wonder why i want sex work decriminalized. because when an adult consents to sex in exchange for currency, i deserve to be protected if im assaulted. if i agree to set terms and a client violates me, they should be prosecuted without me or other sex workers fearing for our own freedom
now i cant do anything. i just have to block his number, keep doing survival sex work and pray i dont get hurt anymore.
please support your local sex workers. protect us. help spread our voices.
