“You really shouldn’t be out alone at this time of night,” the boy stated. “I’m walking home, my car and my phone broke so I really have no choice.”

“I’m the one that jumped, from what i saw you were hardly phased by my presence. I’m walking home, my car broke down and for some apparent reason so did my phone.”

libby had spent the last few hours preparing a picnic with the help of her mom. the plan was to have a nice relaxing valentine’s day with her boyfriend without the surrounding drama or tense atmosphere of the past few weeks. they deserved to have some peace. she’d texted him a few minutes ago that he could start heading over. after setting everything up, of course. every hudson was going their own way - be it sport practice, a day with the guys, significant other or dinner at a restaurant. she’d claimed the house a week in advance and as expected her brothers were obliging. mostly because of her mom. they’d all left a good ten minutes ago and as libby moved to call the dogs back into the house, her head turned to the sound of the knock. ushering them back quickly, her dark hues settled onto the door before making her way over. a quick once over to her simple aqua sundress and matching sandals shot through the mirror just near the door before her hand reached for the door knob. dark hues settled on the frame of her boyfriend, shifting upwards to meet his own before an automatic grin settled. ❝ hey, you.❞ libby hummed softly, moving to let him in. ❝ took ya long ‘nough. ❞

Theo was looking forward to the time alone with Libby, it felt like the past few weeks had been hectic as anything, they needed some time alone just to relax. He’d known Libby was excited for it and had been planning a present for her weeks in advance. Theo was rich, he could buy anything he wanted, but by choosing gifts from the heart, he always made sure they were more meaningful than expensive. Knocking on the front door, he watched as it swung open to reveal his girlfriend with a wide grin. He leaned in to place a kiss on her cheek as he walked past, “Thought I’d leave you in suspense,” he joked, pulling out a box from his pocket and holding it out for the girl. Theo was probably more excited to give it to her than she was to receive it; he’d spent hour searching through jewellery stores for the right gift and had finally stumbled upon the necklace that was hidden beneath the packaging. “Open it.”

Teagan had been so used to being alone in the house for a long time, it was always a weird noise for the front door being knocked on. Her parents were recently home for a couple days, but they left as soon as they came. She took her time getting to the door, thinking that it was her Chinese delivery. When she opened the door it was Theo, “Oh my goodness! Hey!” She opened the door wider so he could come in, “I wasn’t expecting you.”
“Well someone’s happy to see me,” the boy joked, walking through the door and turning to her. “Yeah, I thought it would be cool to hang out, feel like I haven’t seen you in forever.”

“ Uh ’’ Dan starts, trying to find a believable excuse. He can’t exactly say that his moms run off with some stranger for the night and his Dad’s fucked off his face and feeling particularly abusive tonight. ‘‘ Just .. y’know .. needed a walk. ’’ Yeah, a walk to the park to find a bench to sleep on.
“Sure,” the boy nodded, although he was concerned to why the other would be going on ‘a walk’ when all the disappearance were going on. “How about I walk with you?”

“First of all, that’s totally fucked. Secondly, I would love to know why you define me as a nerd, when I’m clearly not, and lastly, it’s none of your business.”

“I’m taking my dog out for a walk? Are you okay? The street lights are on and it’s only 10 till 10?”
“It’s dark, that counts as late for me,” he shrugged. “Sorry, I’m a bit jumpy.”

“Oh, I don’t smoke, so I’ll pass on the smoking, but sure I’ll come with you.”

Theo laughed, “Maybe you just haven’t gone to the right place. I make a mean cup of coffee.”
