I got a fair amount of interest in my modern royalty plot bunny so I figured why not make it an actual thing!
From the ashes of the world war that destroyed Earth rose kingdoms all over the planet. People believed that reverting back to monarchies may be the solution to the problem they couldn’t fix before.
The Evergards and Rydells are two of the most powerful royal families of this age. In order to have the military forces and resources to prevent rebellions and maintain their high statuses, they both decided it was in their best interests to join the two houses with a wedding. However, the rest of their families weren’t pleased with their parents’ decision. Due to past disputes and unfriendly relations, everyone was surprised by the news of an arranged marriage. To ‘bury the hatchet’, the Evergards and the Rydells have planned to spend the winter together by the mountains. Located at a snowy peak, the Rydell’s cabin now host a mixture of immediate and extended family and some close friends. This trip is supposed to bring them together but if the vacation doesn’t prove to be helpful, the wedding must still go on.
The Evergards are certainly more favored by their people and have stronger familial bonds. They’re known to be honorable, adventurous, resilient and loyal. The Rydells are more influential and some would say feared or admired, depending on what side you’re on. They’re ambitious, cunning, intuitive and devoted. But of course, there are always exceptions. {Think Gryffindor and Slytherin or House Stark and House Lannister}
