How to deal with losing your principal spot
1. Cry (a lot) 2. Work harder 3. Get it back
Someone just walked into the practice room I was in, pulled a door stop out of the wall and grabbed a drumstick out of the hole it left behind and left.
me: *hums tchaikovsky*
kid: gosh what is up with you and your classical russian music
me: i loOOOOOOOOOVE RUSSSSSSSSSIANNNNN MUUUUUUUSICCCCCCCCCC
I’m so pissed off at the members of an ensemble thing we’re doing. Another violinist and I started it, I wrote the music for it, they signed up for it. But they don’t try. I can clearly tell that they’re not trying, some of them only show up to like half the rehearsals and complain all the while. The performance for school music stuff is next week Wednesday and we want to rehearse on both Monday and Tuesday (usually we only rehearse on Tuesdays) and they’re complaining about the added rehearsal. Like no. If you want to go up there and humiliate yourself you can, but I’m not letting you drag down the rest of the ensemble. I’m done. I’m sick and tired of people not trying. I don’t care how we do it, I’ll do whatever it takes to get it to sound good. Either we do it well, or we don’t do it at all.

popped a blister after excessive pizzicato during a rehearsal of a piece that I arranged. I basically caused my own problem. "or maybe it's because you don't practice enough." -my mom
