Mox went to the lake, scratching the back of his neck how he’d find her. assuming she’d be underwater, he started taking off his thicker clothes, till he was in a Tshirt and shorts. He took off his shoes and started getting into the water, masking a small whistle for maybe cheris to hear

As he stepped into the water something late could be seen moving around in the water before three large dragon like heads came out of the water and they all let out a loud roar

Cheris hears the whistle and then the roar and goes out of her little cave to take a look poking her head out of the water a tiny bit

Mox covered his ears, annoyed. he waved frantically, and slightly angrily at the three dragon like heads. signing vainly [You big lugs! Who are you even! Im just trying to see cheris! Gah, you’re too freaking loud!] he huffs silently and continues a little more into the water, shivering at how cold it was. he hoped the big one in front of him wouldnt give him trouble.

Cheris watched a one of hydra mom’s heads just carefully picks up mox lifting him out of the water and drops him back on dry land she sighs and swims over close to hydra mom climbing onto one of her heads

Mox wriggled and flailed in hydra mom’s grasp, like an angry pup. when she drops him on land he goes back towards the water in defiance. though when cheris he smiles a bit [Yo!] he waves, and whistles before signing [You know this thing? It’s kinda cool] he turns to the hydra giving more aggressive signs [ you know, when it’s not being a pain in the rump when I just wanna hang out with a friend!] he crosses his arm and stiffens his upper lip before looking to cheris waiting for a response, or at least confusion if he signed too quickly

Cheris pets the large hydras head a bit and she moves her head closer to the shore but not close enough for cheris to leave the water her face was all flushed and her eyes were all puffy which were clear signs that she had been crying “ I’m not really feeling up for hanging out mox……”
