The Orchid Festival is just around the corner...

Introduction and Rules

Inspired by a fan event that took place every summer in the Arcana fandom for a few years, this will be an occasion for adult creators of all types within the Touchstarved fandom to play with characters--the game's characters or OCs--in a smutty, kink-positive setting.

The setting

The Amaryllis District's annual Orchid Festival, dedicated to celebrating sex, whether it be love-making, fucking, or something in between. A time to show your appreciation to sex workers, that special someone, and/or a random person you just happen to vibe with.

The event

May 24th-May 30th

For a week, participants will create whatever they want (writing, art, moodboards, playlists, hell you could do asmr if you want) about characters participating in the festivities. A prompt list will be released prior to the event to give y'all time to plan. Tag with the name of this blog, and I will reblog the various entries for anyone who wants to see. Creations can involve LI x OC, LI x LI, and OC x OC pairings (or multiples 😉). Go wild!

Rules

NO MINORS! This is an 18+ event. To that end, if you plan to participate, please make sure your blog has your age or age range in the header or on a pinned post at the top of your blog.

Please follow Tumblr's community guidelines when it comes to mature content labels and such.

The following will not be tolerated: racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, body-shaming, kink-shaming, etc. This is a safe, sex-positive space. That being said, no rape, incest, pedophilia, or bestiality. (If you are unsure if something counts as bestiality, refer to the Harkness test. For example, fucking Vere in his fox form is acceptable as he is cognitively still himself, provided he can communicate consent.)

Be respectful of others and their creations.

If using someone else's OC, please make sure the creator of that OC is okay with it beforehand.

Please don't use AI for this event. I generally can't tell if something is or isn't ai (as someonewho loves using the em dash, I don't put much stock into some of the "quirks" people cite), so it's gonna be based on the honor system more or less. An Introduction for 2026

Evening was falling on the first day of this year's Orchid Festival, and so far Jasmine was pleased with her introduction to the tradition. The most famous—or perhaps infamous—brothel in Amaryllis District had not disappointed with their burlesque performances. The performers—all employees of the brothel—had demonstrated their talents, whether dancing, singing, or even aerial silks while keeping to the theme of "Into the Shroud." As expected with such a theme, the performances had merged the sensual with the grotesque with erotic depictions of violence and a tasteful amount of gore. Such a theme might not have been for everyone, but the "Shroud King" as he had styled himself this year was well known for testing the limits of his audience.

He was also known for his exclusive after parties.

Most Orchid Festival parties and performances hosted by the local brothels were open to the public as a means of advertisement, but this particular brothel always had an opening event that was invitation-only…unless you made a living getting into places you weren't supposed to be. The lack of an invitation would never have kept Jasmine away. She'd always been of the opinion that parties you had to crash were the best ones.

The second draw, of course, was the King himself, known only as Elyon. Their communication had been limited to notes as she preferred to keep her identity a secret from professional contacts, but she'd seen him today, watching the performances from an ebony and blue velvet throne looking every bit the ruler of his little debauched kingdom. She had to meet him.

The main room was shrouded in a fragrant haze of incense with the sound of a single lyre underscoring the murmurs and moans of party goers indulging in all the host had to offer. Despite the smoke and dim lighting, Jasmine recognized a few of the guests, some of whom she'd been hired to rob—wealthy Hightowners dressed in fine silks and jewelry that sparkled in the candlelight.

Distracted by the thought of how she might swipe a particularly brilliant sapphire necklace off of one Lady Juliard, she didn't notice a man approaching her from behind until he was nearly pressed against her. "This is a private event," he said in a deep, velvety voice.

Jasmine shivered. "My apologies, sir," she purred. "Or should I say, 'Your Highness?'" She looked over her shoulder and saw she was correct. The Shroud King himself was standing so close she could feel the fabric of his clothes against her exposed skin. So far as she could tell, he was fully clothed, a stark contrast to everyone else in the room whose outfits left little to the imagination. Her own outfit was no more than lingerie and stilettos with matching amethyst jewelery. "Figured the courier lost my invitation."

"That's a bold assumption to make, siren. Or should I say, 'Barracuda?'"

"How did you—?"

"Did you think a thief could operate in this city without me knowing exactly who they are? I should have you thrown out." But he didn't sound cross, and even the warning edge to his tone was accompanied by flirtatiousness. She felt the backs of his fingers lightly caress her upper arm. "Or I can let you stay as a reward for a job well done." She assumed he was referring to that envelope she'd stolen for him from a competitor the previous week. Elyon was one of few people in Lowtown who could afford her rates, and she imagined that whatever was in that envelope was part of the reason why.

"I don't believe you'd regret letting me stay, Your Highness. Promise to be on my best behavior."

A pause.

"Turn around," Elyon said, his voice conveying an easy authority.

Already feeling eager to please, Jasmine did as she was told. Gray irises in a sea of black gazed down at her. Elyon wore a black suit with the same blue-furred cloak he'd been wearing at the performance. A waitress passed by with a tray of narrow glass stemware, and he took a glass of what appeared to be pink wine from her without ever looking away from Jasmine. He took a sip before placing the rim of the glass to Jasmine's lips. "Drink," came the simple command.

Again, she obeyed. The wine was sweet and fruity with an aroma of vanilla, and it warmed her as it flowed down her throat. Immediately her senses seemed heightened. Elyon traced a finger up her arm, the sensation making her sigh, before taking her chin between his thumb and forefinger so she couldn't look away. Day 1: Getting into Costume

For each day (or as many as you want), create something sexy involving your OC, the LIs, your friends' OCs, or some combination, then tag this blog to participate.
