Passion and Mindfulness - Facebook Live June 2017 -
Meditation is the way of letting go. In meditation you let goof the complex world outside in order to reach a powerfulpeace within. Its a way to escape comparison and judgement. In all types of mysticism and in many spiritual traditions, meditation is the path to a pure and empowered mind. The experience of this pure mind, released from the world, is incredibly blissful. It is a bliss better than sex. In practicing meditation there will be some hard work, especially at the beginning, but if you are persistent, meditation will lead you to some very beautiful and meaningful states. It is a law of nature that without effort one does not make progress. Whether you are a layperson or a monk or nun, without effort you get nowhere. Effort alone is not sufficient. Effort needs to be skillful. This means directing your energy to just the right places and sustaining it until the task is complete. Skillful effort neither hinders nor disturbs; instead it
produces the beautiful peace of deep meditation.

Mindfulness Training - 8 Days Mindset Makeover is an accredited educational program for Mindfulness training. Suitable for Mindfulness Workplace Training, Mi...
Mindfulness is a mental technique where you stay focused on what you are doing as you are doing it. Mindfulness is the practice of staying in present in the moment and not losing yourself in regret for the past or anxiety about the future.
Mindfulness helps with happiness in four ways and today we are going to go through each of the four ways on this wellness walk.
Here's how we work today, the first part of the walk will be in group silence, so we each have the time and space to absorb and process what comes up. As we go through the walk, you will have thoughts and emotions bubble to the surface and you will need the silence to process this.

Caregiver Archetype
If you have this archetype you have a seemingly unlimited store of compassion and understanding. You astound others with your ability to find within yourself the resources to give without question and provide a constancy of nurturing that would deplete just about anyone else.
Bottomless wells of strength and stamina, Caregivers are born first responders—often among the earliest to show up at disasters, volunteering their time, energy, and resources to assist those whose lives have been turned upside down by floods, tornados, or other natural or manmade crises. Whether the crisis is a skinned knee or a home destroyed by fire, the Caregiver will be there in an instant with Band-Aids, a blanket, and TLC.

Mindfulness has been shown to enhance self-insight, morality, intuition and fear modulation, all functions associated with the brain's middle prefrontal lobe area. Evidence also suggests that mindfulness meditation has numerous health benefits, including increased immune functioning (Davidson et al., 2003; see Grossman, Niemann, Schmidt, & Walach, 2004 for a review of physical health benefits), improvement to well-being (Carmody & Baer, 2008) and reduction in psychological distress (Coffey & Hartman, 2008; Ostafin et al., 2006). In addition, mindfulness meditation practice appears to increase information processing speed (Moore & Malinowski, 2009), as well as decrease task effort and having thoughts that are unrelated to the task at hand (Lutz et al., 2009).
Everyone has a mindset default setting. Mine, for example, used to be ruminating on bad experiences from earlier in my life and seeing if there was someway I could avoid having a similar experience in my future. It meant I was constantly distracted from being here in the present by old, sometimes decades old events and mishaps that really had no place in my current life.
