Every stone does not need to be turned :(
Us poor black girls... Or let me just speak for myself because I was raised by southern Christian black folks & to be honest a lot of what I learned to accept was narcissistic behavior.
It changes a person.:'(
For example, being considered ungrateful for not taking every single "opportunity presented" to you is a part of that upbringing.
However I'm here to tell you that every opportunity is not an opportunity.
Every rock does not need to be turned.
Everything is not for me.
And I don't have to feel like I'm rejecting my abundance by turning things down.
Off of appearance. Off of assumption. Off of intuition.
Black girls always take the butt of everything. We get what no one wants. We do what no one wants to do, we accept burdens we didn't deserve simply because that's what's available or "the way things are" and .... Naive, or hopeless, with very little regard for what the fuck I actually want, I have accepted a lot of things where if I had taken a second to think about it, this thing and I are not in alignment.
