Tobias’s brows furrow ever so slightly, “You don’t know where you are?” He asks with a slight frown, before sighing a little more. “You’re in New York, sweetheart. Know where that is?”

Penny bit her lip slightly. "Yes, I know where New York is. I was just...wandering." She shrugged slightly. "I guess I wasn't paying much attention."

"I'm Penny. And, um, I'm a lycan."

“Yes, so killing doesn’t bother me that much.” She smiled.

“I grew up around killing, you would think it wouldn’t bother me so much.” Penny shrugged. “I guess I just hate seeing people get hurt, no matter who they are.”

“As long as it isn’t the elderly or children, I’m fine.”

"Of course." Penny nodded.

"Yes, so killing doesn't bother me that much." She smiled.

"I grew up around killing, you would think it wouldn't bother me so much." Penny shrugged. "I guess I just hate seeing people get hurt, no matter who they are."

“I’ve run into very few hunters.”

“So have I.” Penny frowned slightly. “Unfortunately, I just had to deal with a few.” She shrugged, looking down.

“It happens, I’ve killed all the ones I’ve come across to protect my sister. She’s a vampire too so I get protective.”

“I don’t like killing. I just find a way to escape.” She shrugged slightly.

“Killing…” She bit her lip. “Is my job..”

"You did mention you were an assassin." Penny giggled into her hand.

“I’ve run into very few hunters.”

“So have I.” Penny frowned slightly. “Unfortunately, I just had to deal with a few.” She shrugged, looking down.

“It happens, I’ve killed all the ones I’ve come across to protect my sister. She’s a vampire too so I get protective.”

“I understand.” Penny looked down, twisting her fingers together. “I don’t normally tell people what I am to avoid that.”

She nodded slowly. “I understand.”

Penny bit her lip again, shrugging. She was trying to think of a response, but her lack of social interaction made it hard for her.

She smiled at the woman. “If it makes you feel better, this world is more accepting of people like us than in the past.”
