Christian let Aurora finish airing her concerns before he spoke again. “Aurora, you know I love you and you know I want you to be happy, and that’s why I’m about to say what I’m about to say: upsetting your boyfriend is a bullshit reason to throw away your dream. We would miss you, but we know you’re coming back. We can explain what’s happening to Belle and we can skype every day. She knows you love her and wouldn’t abandon her,” he shook his head and licked his lips, shifting so he was sitting right next to Aurora. “Really think about it, Rora. The people who really care about you will understand that this is the best thing for you right now and it’ll be good for Belle in the future. This is your dream. Chase it.”

Aurora sighed softly after Christian voiced his opinion, leaning against the wall as he talked. “I know it’s the most– needy, co-dependent, thing to say and I hate myself for saying it, if Wes and I are meant to last then he could deal with the four months I’d be away. How did Belle and I get so lucky to have you all in our lives,” she whispered, looking to him as he settled next to her, smiling softly, Letting her head fall on his shoulder, closing her eyes as her smiled grew. “I just want to do what’s right for Belle and you are right this is going to be good for us in a lot of ways, distance aside, and I’ll have Skype like you said, so I’ll be able to see her nearly every day, and you, and certainly Ariel,” licking her lip she let her eyes flutter open. “I still haven’t fully decided but I’m closer to absolutely certain that I’m going,” she smirked.

Chris simply leaned down and kissed the top of Aurora's head when she laid it on his shoulder. He had said all he needed to and trusted Aurora to do what was right. She had asked his opinion and he'd given it and he was content to just sit quietly with her now. He reached out and grabbed one of her hands, squeezing it momentarily before reaching for his laptop where he had laid it aside. He opened it now to the half edited video he had been working on, and turned the screen so Aurora could see it too. "Wanna see what I have so far?"

Christian blew a slow breath out from his lips as she finished explaining, taking a moment to consider what she told him. “So,” he started hesitantly, “the main thing holding you back is Belle? Well, not ‘holding you back,’ but it’s the main point on your Cons list, right?” He chewed on his lip thoughtfully for a moment, a gesture so characteristically Ariel that it was hard to forget that the two were twins in that moment. “I think you should go, Rora. You said it yourself that this could give you the boost you need to give Belle everything. I think the small separation now will be worth it in the long run. I’m sure Casper would love to keep Belle for you, and she’s always welcome here if he wants a night or two off. Or more. Hell, I’ll keep her myself if he doesn’t want to,” he spoke seriously, but grinned at her at the end. It was no secret that he adored children, Belle in particular. “It’s an amazing opportunity, Ro, and it’s only a semester. What are your other concerns?”

Aurora nodded slowly at his words. “Belle yes, Belle is always number one in all concerns,” she whispered, brushing her hair from her face as she stared at him, pick up the similar way he chewed his lip in contemplation, just like Ariel, it was something she grew to love about the twins their similarities but each similarity had their differences, which she knew all too well. “Really?” She halted, playing with the the sleeve of her shirt as she let him talk. “Casper is more than welcome to stay in my apartment, and Jacob of course, and I know she’d love it here, she missed basically living here,” Aurora uttered softly. Licking her lip as she let her eyes continue to look downward. “I uh– well I mean, a semester yes, that’s the part I don’t want Belle to feel like I’m abandoning her, that’s the hard part. We’ve both had that– which you know all too well. I just also think, this could break Wes and I up, we’ve talked about it before, and I couldn’t help but pick up on the fact he’d hate it if I left, he’d be supportive of course but I know him, and I know he’s scared that something will happen and I think that time apart could hurt us,” she sighed softly. “Also– I mean, I’ll miss here too. I know it, I’ll miss here and I know for a fact the first month I’ll hate it wherever I go, I’ll settle in eventually, but I’ll hate it because I’ll miss it here, and I’ll miss Belle, and you, Ariel, Joey and your dad,” she smiled weakly. “Wes, and a few others. I sound like such a child and so far from my reckless punk self who would of loved this opportunity but there are so many factors that makes me want to stay but it’s fucking Egypt or London! I could would with the top paleontologists and archeologists, I could go on digs, and this would be so great,” she whispered. “I feel like I’ll be selfish if I go, and I’ll hurt the people that mean more to me than anything, and that’s eating at me, mostly. I’m scared that will tarnish the good time I could have.”

Chris looked up from the editing software open on his computer screen at the sound of Aurora’s voice. “Sure, Rora, what’s up?” he asked, closing his laptop and making room for the girl to sit on his bed if she wanted.

Aurora moved towards him, sitting on the bed, crossing her legs as she looked up to the ceiling for a moment. “So– I got this really cool opportunity, next year to study abroad for a semester, Egypt or London, and I’m just trying to figure out if I should or not. With Belle and all you know. As a parent I have to make sacrifices for her, that’s the big thing, but this could put my foot in the door and give us this life I’ve wanted for her, since I got her,” she looked to Christian for a moment. “I’ve been talking to a few people about this, getting the pros and cons from everyone and you’re one of the people in my life I trust the most to tell me what you think is best because you know me so well, you know Bell, obviously I still have time, but I have so many concerns about it all.”

Nelson began the long walk home from town, a bag with a few meager school supplies in his hand, unaware of his surroundings as he talked to his mother on the phone. “Yes. I know, mama. I got Dax and Lily’s stuff but mine is just going to have to-” he was stopped mid sentence when he ran into someone, dropping the phone. “I’m so sorry!”

Chris had stopped walking in the middle of the sidewalk, too focused on typing out his latest creative idea to continue walking when someone ran into him, knocking his own phone out of his hand as well. "Shit," he exclaimed as he fumbled to catch the device before it hit the ground, just narrowly missing. He squinted at the boy who had bumped into him for just a moment before placing where he knew him from. "Oh, hey man, no worries. I shouldn't have been just standing in the middle of the sidewalk," he shrugged before stooping to pick up his phone.

“Well, I wouldn’t really count it as a talent. It’s traveling - that’s what I love doing more than anything else. But also, helping people out. It’s why I want to be a nurse.”

I just haven’t asked anyone. This whole thing started because I was talking to one of Ariel’s friends about aliens. We just kind of started writing a script for fun but then I really wanted to make the movie and here we are.

You really should ask someone to help. There’s no way you could do that all on your own. It would be too stressful.

I don't know. It's just a short film and I already do it all for the some of the videos on our YouTube channel. I can always ask for help later if it gets too overwhelming.
