Preview of the art for the upcoming CD demo reissue by The Pact on COF. Photography by Sam Wright, lay-out by Matthew Kay.

The second COF sampler is now available to stream and download for free (to download for free, just enter 0.00 in the ‘name your price box’), it features a track from every release so far this year and every scheduled release to come. A fairly eclectic mix within the heavy music spectrum, metallic hardcore, black/sludge/doom metal, crust punk, hardcore punk… A snapshot of where the label is at the moment, I hope you enjoy it. Thanks again to Deadbeat for the beautiful art. As a sidenote; it won’t be long until the Razoreater / Iced Out Split 7”, the Monolithian 12” and the COF shirt pre-orders ship, literally just waiting on it all now, thanks for your continued patience.

We are playing in Sheffield and Durham next month. Recording soon.

Here's a video from our set at The Broomhall Centre from the Down To Nothing show at the end of last year. Watch the end of the video for sick mosh, watch the beginning for people standing around in a horse shoe. Lew from Nai Harvest filled in on drums that night; Check out their new LP. We're writing a bunch of new songs at the moment so watch this space.
CHURCH OF FUCK NEWS, MARCH TWO-THOUSAND AND THIRTEEN
1. THINGS TO BUY
In the BigCartel ( http://churchoffuck.bigcartel.com/ ) there are currently the following extremely limited items.
- ‘Nun’ shirt by Dia Artio (pre-order ends Monday, shirts ship next month)
- ‘Corruption’ shirt with art by Deadbeat and the COF Scott Move logo (pre-order ends Monday, shirts ship next month)
- Razoreater/Iced Out Split 7”, two new tracks from each band, ships in the next couple of months, listen here > http://churchoffuck.bandcamp.com/album/split-by-razoreater-iced-out
- Last few Hammers ‘Vardogr’ Tapes, now half price
2. THINGS TO DOWNLOAD
By the end of tonight (I’m currently slowly doing it) the bandcamp ( http://churchoffuck.bandcamp.com/ ) will be completely up to date with every single release so far available to stream, and download for free/pay what you like. That includes the End Reign ‘Suicide Collection’ discography, which a few people have been waiting on, sorry for the delay on that one, we had a few issues with the WAVs. Hammers ‘Vardogr’ will also be on there.
If you want something then download it now! Bandcamp limits free downloads per month, and once they are gone it sometimes resets things to the random price of £7, in that eventuality just wait a month or get in touch with me or the bands and we’ll do our best to hook you up.
The ‘pay what you like’ feature acts as a tip jar for the label, if you want to pay a quid or two then it all goes back into the label, it’s rare but it does happen, so thanks if you’ve done that for any of your downloads!
3. SHOWS OF FUCK
I currently have two shows in Manchester booked, both are free.
The first is Thursday April the 11th at The Star And Garter and features my new band Old Skin, Iced Out, Razoreater and Corrupt Moral Altar. Its the same scheme as my old shows and the bandcamp in the sense it’s ‘pay what you like’, if you have the money fine, if not, then that’s fine too, come down and party. Event page for this one is here, thanks to Dom Moss for the flyer > http://www.facebook.com/events/488136311242530
The second one is the second annual Fuck Fest, which features most of the bands from the label, and is on Saturday the 29th of June at Kraak Gallery. Again, free/donation entry, essentially ‘pay what you like’, how this works is the bands who travel all get paid x amount regardless, as does the venue, whatever gets donated on the day just lessens the impact on the label, which is what pays the bands and venue. It’s a ridiculous way to operate things and I have lost hundreds of pounds, but it’s worth it to be non-exclusionary, and if one person gets introduced to a bunch of the COF bands and has a good cheap day out then it’s worth it. Event page for this one here, thanks to Deadbeat for the flyer > http://www.facebook.com/events/483261578400465/
4. MY NEW BAND
It’s called Old Skin, it’s basically Knife Crimes but lower and slower and with a different bassist (Dom Moss of Esoteric Youth), you can listen to and download our first song here > http://oldskin.net/
We’ll be releasing something at some point, no idea when.
5. NEW RELEASES
Releases you know about which will be up for pre-order soon are the Swinelord ‘Life Is Empty/I Feel Fucked’ 10” with art by Pogger, and the Monolithian ‘One/Zero’ 12”.
New releases you don’t know about are two CDs, the Lord Misery EP ‘Mongolithian’, and the reissue of The Pact Demo, originally released on Hemlock 13, with alternative artwork to the H13 tape version.
The Esoteric Youth 7” ‘The Burden Of Living’ is also getting recorded soon at No Studio, more news and updates on that as it comes together.
That’s everything I think, thanks to everyone who has ordered the Razoreater/Iced Out Split 7” and either of the new shirts, it’s highly appreciated. And thanks to everyone who is hyped on the label still and saying nice stuff, really means the world, this label is becoming my life.
YEAR OF STRENGTH, GO IN POWER
Thee Tyrant
Demo re-release. Different format, different artwork. Oli is probably one of the craziest people I've ever met and it's cool that he's up for putting this out despite us sticking out like a sore thumb in comparison to the rest of the bands on his label. Check out his label if you're in to crust and metal and sludge and all that 'dark' hardcore stuff.
We are playing a festival in July in Birmingham with many of our friends.
This weekend with Control has been a blast. Cheers to anyone who watched us, hung out and bought stuff from us. Cheers to Leo Xthe vanX for driving us and being a class guy. The plan now is to write and record some new bangers.
