Nodding in agreement the witch was no fool. Nothing was guaranteed. Dark eyes followed as the other poured a generous serving of an expensive liquor. Despite the situation not involving his daughter directly there still would be an adverse effect. He took no pleasure revealing the details and nodded verifying it had occurred in the bar. It was Pavlo’s turn to reveal what he knew, but he was keeping his cards awful close to his chest.
It took a moment before Pavlo finally opened up. Val’s dark eyes pulled away from the drink and instead settled on his friend. Humans were fickle and frankly, he wasn’t shocked a mutiny was in play. A brow lifted at the mention of Ben. Never one to hold back in the others prescence he suggested, “If we know who the agressor is I think it’s time to retailiate. Granted their plan was hindered by Addison lets not wait around for another attempt.” The demon was not one to take anything lightly. The witch would only have to say the word and he’d happly wipe the coven from this dimesion. Their souls could be of use in his home realm; however, Val knew better than to assume anything.
With the last question he picked up the tumbler and took a drink, “The man attempted to rape her,” he paused for a moment. “He was unsucessful but she was spooked. It took time to calm her down.” He was purposely vague with the last statment.
Pavlo took the moment of pouring the liquor to gather his thoughts. It was not a matter of trusting Val, for that he did without question, no it was more a matter of what the next steps would be. If he revealed his suspicion, which he knew he would need to do, would a war be started. Would Ben consider this the firing of the first shots? Of course hearing that Addison had been attacked in his bar one could argue that Ben was in fact the one to fire first. Taking a deep pull from his glass he finally revealed what he had been holding onto for a long time. Looking up to see the darkening of Val's eyes, something that would scare anyone who didn't know the truth of his nature he once again wondered what war was about to be started. "That's the problem," Pavlo said after a moment. "I don't know for sure that it is Ben. These are merely speculations and rumors. There are those in the coven still loyal to me and mine who have mentioned that Ben has been unhappy with things under my control for some time. However, why would Ben attack his own daughter to get to me. That's what troubles me the most. Is this mutiny against me or the coven?" Frowning he took another drink and looked over at Val, wondering what he was thinking and wanting to know exactly what had happened. "Addison was lucky she was able to stop the man," he replied quietly, glad that it was not Sasha. Nodding absently he put his glass down, "I'm glad she was able to call you and that you were able to assist. I think for now it's time to see what Ben is up to without raising his suspicions. Perhaps Addison can be of use in this matter. I can have Sasha gather information, they are friends or do you feel more comfortable doing a little digging yourself?"
