Things I’ve Learned

1. Take the High Road for the simple reason that it will make you feel good about yourself.

2. If you’re wondering whether or not you should spend time explaining the facts to someone who probably just wants to argue and sees an enemy around every corner, don’t.  Don’t bother.  Do not engage.  Hold your peace.  

3. Some women will treat you as an inferior, regardless of any skills or education you possess that far surpass their own, simply because they have previously housed a human being in their uterus.  Ignore them.  Do not let them or their comments live rent free in your mind.  

4. If you disagree with someone’s opinion and that opinion isn’t causing you or anyone else to be in actual danger, just move on.  It doesn’t matter.  Trust me.

5. Someone else’s incompetence isn’t a valid reason for you to make a conscious choice to slack off yourself.  Refer to #1. 

6. People who are only interested in shallow relationships are, guess what, SHALLOW.  Take that as a clue.  

7. Temporary pain is better than permanent scars.  Take care of that Thing now, before it becomes untreatable.  

8. Forgive yourself.

9. Don’t wait.  Go to the restroom.

10. Keep some lotion in your purse.
