Most Beguiling

(Semi-Hiatus, because my muse keeps abandoning me.) Greetings to you. I am Loki Odinson, second born prince of Asgard. Come, have a few words with me. I assure you, I am harmless. OOC: A recent development

So, you know how some people have pop ups on their blog, to warn about playlists that autoplay, or controversial/potentially triggering material?

Yeeeaaah…if you have one of those?  I literally can’t play with you.  For whatever reason, those fucking pop ups freeze my browser so thoroughly that I can’t even force quit it.  I have to reboot my computer entirely.  (Also, seriously, warning for autoplay?  Just fucking turn autoplay off.  Even people who aren’t wildly startled by sudden noise hate autoplay.)

Just to let people know.

"Why not? You’re nice, what’s the worse that could happen? You spill your coffee?" Sigyn teased, "and if you are, you’re good at hiding" she laughed. She gave a smile as he agreed and nodded, "lovely, so same again tomorrow?" she asked.

"Same time?" he asked, by way of agreement.  Perhaps it would be nice.  She wasn't "his" Sigyn (he would think of some other way to differentiate them later), but she seemed nice enough, and his social life on Midgard was...lacking, to put it generously.  He could stand to be a bit less of a hermit.

Tessa nodded and smiled “Alright, that works.” She grinned something was beginning to form plans within her. Tessa wanted a throne and she was going to take it no matter what.

Loki led her to the gardens in silence, taking corridors that he knew would be unoccupied at that time of the day.  Something about her didn't sit well with him.  Typically, he could tell if someone was lying or not in seconds, but now?  He...couldn't tell.  And it grated against his nerves like a file.

It wasn't until he was pushing open one of the doors into the garden that he asked, "Why now?"  He glanced over his shoulder at her.  "You have sat in that vault since before I was born.  Why reveal yourself now?"

"Oh ok! Can we go for a walk, or read?" She began to list of other things they could do together. "We can be the best of friends! And I will protect you!"

Loki's brow creased in puzzlement as she carried on.  He wouldn't have expected an artifact of cosmic power to be quite so...chipper.  He glanced aside as she said she would protect him, choosing not to dwell on how unlikely that sounded, given what different timelines had told him. 

"I suppose I could show you around the gardens, for now," he settled on, gesturing for her to follow him.

"Well then, I’m surprised I haven’t bumped into you on the street. But it was nice to meet you anyway, maybe we could do this again sometime? You seem like the only sane person in this city" Sigyn laughed, sipping at her drink.

Loki chuckled quietly.  "A bit early for such decisions, don't you think?" he wondered playfully.  "Perhaps I'm just good at hiding it."  He took a long sip of his drink.  "But it is a pleasure to meet you, as well, and it sounds like a lovely idea."

A little crystal bowl with three lotuses floating in it appears on your windowsill. Underneath the bowl is a note saying only, 'with love'

Loki inspected the bowl curiously, the note held between two fingers.  He turned his attention to the paper, turning it over to see if there was a signature, one eyebrow arching when he found none.  Hm.  How strange.

"Aw I love cats, I’m sure it’s not too terrible. And I live jut the block down from you, I occasionally go to that organic place. Surprising I haven’t seen you before" she smiled.

He shrugged easily, and took a sip of his coffee.  "I don't shop there, and I don't just loiter around outside my own apartment.  That sounds like it would be rather unproductive," he pointed out, with some amusement.

Tessa nodded and looked at him she would doing anything to be his friend. “Ok! What else can I do to prove to you that I want to be friends and help you?”

...What was one supposed to ask a cosmic source of power to do, as proof of trustworthiness?  "I'm--not certain yet."  He lifted one hand, pinching the bridge of his nose for a second, before he dragged his hand through his hair.  "I suppose I shall just have to keep an eye on you until I think of something."

“You never finished the story,” he says.

 “I want to know how it ends.”

His brother sobs.

“I don’t remember. Thor, I don’t—”

“It’s okay.”

They aren’t talking about the story anymore, at least, Thor doesn’t think they are. What he does know is that his hands are heavy and his body is heavy and this, it had to end somewhere, didn’t it?”

"I want to become friends, I want peace." She looked up at him and trembled, why was he being mean? "I took this form so I could do no more harm to anyone or thing. I do not want to be a destroyer or a weapon. I want to be happy and free.." Tessa was being honest with him and while in here she had some how found a flow and held it up to him, it was like a peace offering. "You like?"

She was telling the truth, as far as Loki could tell.  For now, at least.  Perhaps she did simply want to be friends--and he would most likely be a fool to believe her instantly--but who was to say she wouldn't change her mind?

Loki sighed, and his knife vanished.    "We'll say I want to believe you."  He accepted the flower gingerly.  "I will need proof.  Something other than a flower."

Tessa looked at the knife, what was that? Was he going to harm her? She had done nothing wrong, had she? Tessa backed up a little scared of what he might do to her. “I-I dont want any trouble.. I..I.. Have been here, I just changed my form.. I was the Tesseract..” Tessa looked at him hoping he might calm down.

Loki stilled, expression smoothing out in his surprise.  The Tesseract.  That...couldn't be possible.  And yet--and yet she was not lying.  Not that he could tell, at least, and there were few people who could lie to him.

"Why have you taken this form?" he finally asked, as his surprise slowly bled from shock to caution.  "What do you want?"  Loki's own experiences with the Tesseract were minimal, but he had heard more than enough horror stories.  And they all involved him.

Tessa had been down there for quite sometime, and like her sisters could change their form at will. So no time like the present, she thought to her self. With a small hum and flash of light, she changed into a small, white/blondish haired, naked woman. Once she finished changing she began to walk around and explore, after falling a few times. 

As she walked she saw someone and that scared her, though she was very much more powerful than this person but she still was scared. In the process of hiding she had made a noise and realized that the person had heard her. Tessa gulped and came out and stood before him “my name is Tessa.” That was all she could muster to say, the fear in her making her glow brightly.

Loki's grip on his knife tightened, eyes narrowing in suspicion.  Tessa.  Not a name he heard frequently on Asgard, not a name attached to anyone he knew personally, and he had never seen her before.

"Tessa.  Alright.  Now tell me who you are and what you're doing in the palace, in the armory."  His knife stayed at his side, since there was no point in waving it around like a paranoid fool until he knew she was dangerous, but he flexed his wrists, ready to move in an instant if he had to.

It had been weeks since Loki had last been down to the armory.  He'd had no need to, ever since he had finally been able to change to his Jotun form at will.  But he'd had an idea.  If he could change at will, what if he could deny the change, as well?  Even if he was touching the Casket.

His foot falls were quiet as he stepped into the armory.  Before he could follow the familiar path towards the Casket, though, he paused.  Something felt...off.  As if he wasn't quite alone.  But that made no sense.  There were no guards down here right now.

A knife appeared in one hand.  "Who's down here?"

"Aye so are mine, fancy that" Sigyn laughed, "oh really? I’m not to far from here either, where abouts are you? If you don’t mind me asking" she stumbled.

Loki gestured loosely in one direction.  "A couple blocks in that direction.  A stone's throw past the little organic shop.  It's nice enough, though the woman who lives above me is a touch odd.  Her cat likes to come in my window."  He smiled, a touch cheeky.  "And what about you?"
