Fun things to do to get into the mindset of a character

1) Make them a playlist. What songs do they listen to and what do they like?

2) Make an outfit. I do outfits from my own closet and if I don’t have the clothes I use outfit boards.

3) Pick or make a wall paper. A person’s phone wall paper is probably one of the things they see most through out the day.

4) Pick then watch a movie or show they like. The main character I’m working on now watches documentaries and marvel Netflix shows.

5) Figure out what they like and don’t like about people. Do they like people who talk a lot, a little, do they even like people?

6) Think about how they speak. Language varies all over the world and varies even within regions and age. If they are younger are they going to make references to memes?

Things Carried  Coins are a funny thing. Like superstition, they only hold value because people believe that they do. Oh,  and how superstition does follow them. The lucky coin, the coin toss, the coins at the bottom of the fountain aren’t the only part of follows a coin. Fingerprints, the transferred body heat of a nervous woman and all the memories carried therein. Jane sat in the hall just outside the office, her knees shaking against the seat of the chair. Nearly all the lights were off in the building. The other businesses had closed for the evening. The silence rose as she played with the penny in her plan, unable to stop fidgeting.   The paperwork sat in her lap. The letters at the top glared thickly. Large D for domestic and large R for restraint, Jane tried to ignore them. Would this really work? Would this really keep her Ex away from her apartment? Her workplace? She could hear his voice, grating and growling. His face contorted in anger. She leaned forward, drawing in on herself at the memory. She didn’t hear the man sit down in the chair next to her. The man with the cuffed black slacks and the socks with stars and galaxies stitched in them. The identical chair to hers creaked as he sat. His black suit coat was as plain and unassuming. There was something about his eyes though, the way they seemed to reflect the dim light of the hall and the blue of Jane’s shirt depending the way he glanced. “A penny for your thoughts?” he said. His voice held a boyish tenor, but he kept it soft. Jane jumped and looked at him. She stared stunned, she could see the reflection of the room in his gaze. Yet, the room in his eyes felt empty. She shivered. He was too close. She leaned back from him and lost focus. He looked down at her hands, “a penny for your thoughts?” He glanced up at her and then down again expectantly. She opened her palm and looked down at the penny in her hand. “Um…” She wanted him to leave. She was supposed to have been the lawyer’s last visit for the day. She didn’t feel like talking. She glanced over at him. He was still staring impishly at the penny. Maybe he was mentally ill. Maybe he had some form of autism, she couldn’t be sure. She held the penny up in two fingers in front of him. And then the penny dropped. It dropped into his palm and his hand closed around it. He sat back in the chair and held it close with a deep breath. Anxiety, fear, doubt, warmth and sweat. They went with the penny like a spent charge. She felt calm suddenly. As if all the dark thoughts had gone away with the warm coin. She blinked. “Thank you for your thoughts.” He smiled, his cheeks seemed to glisten. His eyes were different now, they no longer reflected an empty room. Wait a moment, she thought. “But isn’t the other way around?” her brow furrowed. He was already walking away the dim yellow lights catching the gold and silver threads of his socks. “You paid for a service.” Came the response. It echoed with a tension in the air like an oncoming storm. “… service…” Jane blinked. “Excuse me?” She looked up. Her lawyer with his graying beard and grey coat stood before her. He adjusted his glasses, “we provide full legal service.” Jane glanced around the room. She was now inside the lawyer’s office, in a similar creaking chair. “Just a moment. I’m sorry.” She stood up and opened the door to look out into the dim hall. Empty. There was no sign of a man with stars and silver rings on his socks. No echoing voices. She blinked as if returning from a dream. “Is something wrong Miss McGowan?” “No I just could have sworn there was… someone else waiting with me earlier.” She said in confusion. He shook his head, “I didn’t see anyone. Now about the paperwork.” She hesitated. Had she heard it down the hall? The sound of loose change, of rolling coins. “Yes, the paperwork.”

Faux calligraphy was the very start for me, and I reccomend starting with it if you really want to achieve a perfect calligraphy.

We all know supplies for calligraphy, such as Tombow dual brush pens and watercolour brush pens can be very expensive and if you are a beginner you can ruin them, instead you can easily exercise using Crayola Markers, they are really chaep and there’s a big colour choice.

Next Stream: Sunday D&D @ 6pm EDT

D&D Twitch Stream where yours truly crossplays as a mysterious fighter named Arun Stonefeld. Edmund, a self-proclaimed treasure hunter and a member of the ship’s crew has collected a group of unlikely passengers for a sea voyage to the mainland. Anna, a stoic ranger seeking information about a friend. Two mages (homebrew class) by the names of Cain and Lily. Lily seemed to be in quite the hurry to get out of the town they had been in. Arun, carries a long sword wrapped in cloth and has attempted to keep to himself. About 5 days into the voyage, Edmund promises treasure, knowledge and the arcane for anyone who would join him on a hunt in some ruins on the mainland. All about the ranger have agreed. The first session ended with the arrival of a pirate vessel and the boarding of their ship.
