Nomthandazo Ngwetsheni born February 9th 1991; in Zwide Port Elizabeth. Growing up in a musical family, her Granddad being a composer, songwriter and conductor for choral choirs influenced her love for music at an early age. She enjoyed putting on shows at home singing along to the likes of Brenda Fassie, Toni Braxton and many more. She later joined the choir and was part of a group called Lusino performed at school talent shows, weddings, and parties and at small events around Port Elizabeth. LadySam is a self-taught singer, songwriter, and composer and currently in studio recording and writing more music. She currently not signed under any label and is exploring the opportunities that may arise hereto. In July 2015 she left Port Elizabeth to follow her lifelong aspiration of becoming a singer in Johannesburg. The short amount of time from July 2015 to December 2015 has presented her with the opportunity to release her first single ‘Ziphelelephi’ which is doing well on local radio. Her song is currently on the KQ FM playlist and on download sites, namely, www.kasimp3.co.za and SoundCloud. She entered SA Idols Season 11 and made it through to the call backs, Top Billing presenter search, Clash of the Choirs, The Voice and XFactor SA. LadySam wants her music to delight her audience with her uplifting music and inspiring lyrics. Her music is inspired by the life experiences she has overcome, being a train crash survivor and losing her sisters in the crash, and other people’s life stories and everyday life experiences. Her love and passion for music is evident when you meet her – she comes alive when music is involved! As she would say: “Music is my Life”
Good Morning...Today I mourn the death of my Grandfather, someone who played a HUGE role in my life....I wanted to post one of the pictures holding a flower or one of the pictures we took in Yeoville with lookinh in the sky with the background showing.8:39 AM The love of a grandfather is unique. God must have given grandfathers to us to liven up our lives, to make our lives more complete, to make us well rounded and better human beings. Dha played a big part in my childhood, teens, adulthood. He taught me a lot about love and the meaning of family.. He has never been just ‘my grandfather’, but my guardian, my friend and my inspiration.
Still, I can’t believe my lovely Dha was taken away from me. I will miss my Grandfather, but his spirit and strength, lives on in each of us and in the lives that he touched. He lives on in me and in all those who have been touched by the love, strength, conviction, wisdom, and beauty of his soul.
Love you Dhawe– You truly were a special, special man! You may have passed on, but your memories would always live on within me. Thank you for your sacrifices, your care and concern, your love and everything that you have done for me. Wherever you are, I know you are in a much better place. I will be forever grateful and thankful that you are my ‘grandfather’.
