Art Hiatus

I will be on an art hiatus for the foreseeable future. My tablet breathed its last today after a power surge hit and I don’t know when I will afford another one. I don’t know yet if I will continue to answer asks through text or not, but it’ll be a little bit before I do in either case. I’m pretty shaken by no longer being able to do the one thing I’m even partially good at. Here’s hoping my wait isn’t too long.

Crossing the secluded clearing to the large Ninetails, Kreilanna knelt down to return the egg in her arms to it’s siblings. The eggs warmed to greet each other before settling down as the long tails curled protectively over them once more. “I worry about them...” the Ninetails admitted softly, bringing a smile to Kreilanna’s face. It was a common phrase ever since the eggs came to be. “Don’t be, Mother” Kreilanna scolded as gently as she could, nestling her hand into the fur of the Ninetails’ shoulder. “They will be strong. Besides, they have great histories to live up to. (Mirific-Meowstic)Pinkan@the gardevoir: The sneasel carefully approaches from the side. "Hello, sorry to bother you. My name is Pinkan, who might you be?" He asks conversationally. "What exactly is that item you have in your hands? Some kind of jewel perhaps?"

She startles for a moment before smiling at the Sneasel suddenly at her side. “Hello, Pinkan! Sorry for not noticing you sooner ehe... I’m Kreilanna, it’s nice to meet you!”Kreilanna shifts the object in her arms slightly before shaking her head. “He’s no jewel. This is an egg! A very important one. In fact Mother is watching over his two siblings while I carry this one around. I can see how you’d mistake him for a jewel though. His shell is very pretty.”

Celosia@???: "Hey there, hon," the cactus chimed, placing his hand on his hip. "Who th'hell is 'Mother'? Who calls their mom 'Mother?' You comin' home from college or somethin'?"

“She’s quite olden, from what I’ve gathered over my years with her. So over time I realized that calling her ‘Mother’ relaxes her and ‘mom’ seems to put her on edge. I think it’s the respect of the term that settles her nerves. After all, she hasn’t been a parent in a very long time.”The Gardevoir giggles a bit with a shrug, as if to say she wasn’t bothered by it. “I know it might seem strange, but I kinda like saying ‘Mother’ rather than ‘mom’ to her. After all, she’s not my birth parent. That should be saved for the eventual little ones returning to our world.”

The strangely colored Gardevoir smiles to herself, placing a hand gently on the oddly colored ‘stone’ in her arms. “It’s the field close to Mother’s new Nest, so I thought I’d spend some time here. It’s so peaceful...” <<Approach?>>
