Part 1 of outreach is coming to an end. In 4 days we move on, while its sad to leave the time here has been so rewarding and challenging. Meeting people from all across the world as nations gather to lend aid and find refuge. As cheesy as it sounds, this has already been a life changing experience and opened my heart to people I never expected to care for so much. God is at work here, there is evidence of that everyday just in the new faces of arriving volunteers we see every week. Moments like this make the news real. 450,000 life jackets and each one belongs to someone unique. Being here helps to put faces and character to the people you see on the news. People who've left families, jobs, schools. Some of them are bitter, sad and hate their country. Some want to return one day but all are looking for safety and security. I've met many kind people anxious to help, to talk with us and who appreciate our efforts. It's been an incredible first week.
