The Late Show’s Doin Her Best Barbie in response to Mattel’s ‘Shero Collection’ crafted after real iconic women for International Women’s Day | LSSC | 2018.03.08

the pressure put on women to be young, attractive, and successful all at once is fucking ridiculous, you got women in their late teens and early twenties convinced that their lives are over because they don’t have a successful career and a romantic partner…a woman’s value is not in how successful she is or whether or not she has a romantic partner. there are no deadlines for life achievements, women don’t have to become successful when they’re young. women are not limited by their age, and a woman certainly is not a failure for not having either (or both) a successful career and a romantic partner when she is just starting to live her life!
10 simple lessons I’ve learned on happiness…
#1 - Less is more. Stuff is weight. Let it go.
#2 - Fitness will make you happier. Endorphins are the ultimate happy drug.
#3 - Take small positive baby steps daily in the direction you want to go.
#4 - Spend time in nature, you will become inspired.
#5 - Spend time alone, you will hear your hearts true purpose.
#6 - Eat whole foods. Processed food makes you feel bad and changes your mood. Nuff said.
#7 - Meditate daily. Learn to quiet the mind.
#8 - Live in the moment. The past is gone and the future has not happened so take it all in today.
#9 - Daily decide you will be grateful. Gratitude will make you happy.
#10 - Do for others. Happiness comes when you give back.
