I had a lot of fun painting this one~ That classic celestial gold and blue combo just can't be beat. I love Agott's character growth though the story, like the phases of the moon, ever changing 🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑

Of all the main characters, I think there's only Olly left to be brimmed haha.

it’s simple: when I like an adaptation, everyone complaining about changes to the text is a whiny baby who needs to get over themselves and accept that sometimes you have to change the story to enrich the experience/work within the medium. when I don’t like an adaptation, it’s because nobody else understands the core themes of the original work and would be better off just creating a story independent of what they’re trying to adapt.

Obsessed with how Sanji spent two episodes completely oblivious to everything that was happening, made himself at home in a creepy house in the woods, got his ass beat by a couple of animals, rage-baited the big bad, and then had a smoke break. My guy did not have the group's allotted brain cell that day, but he really did his best.

I think it is possible that Sanji sometimes had like, very short friendships or even just nights hanging out with random other young people who were at the Baratie for a few days or hours before moving on. He doesn’t have the same poorly socialized vibe as some of the other characters who didn’t really have any friends in their formative years (Zoro had 1 friend for a little bit, Luffy had two brothers who were more feral than he was, Usopp had 1 friend, Nami’s only company were adult fishmen starting from about her preteen years). He does seem to know how to interact with other young people outside of a customer service role. He just hasn’t had actual FRIENDS-friends before the Straw Hats, like, people he knows well who know him well and who he can rely on.

Sanji is that for somebody. Sanji is someone's wistful nostalgic "Hey remember that kid I met at that restaurant that hung out with me out behind the kitchen and i bummed my first cigarette off him? I wonder whatever happened to him..."

And then he shows up on a wanted poster and they have to be like "...well that's not what I was expecting"

Olruggio was having a normal day three hours ago. He was coming home after a long day at work looking forward to seeing his husband best friend and eating a warm dinner. Pat the kids on the head and then go lie down. NO Qifrey says I have obtained another child she's a part of an active criminal investigation and a sign that I am dipping back into my worst destructive behaviors that you thought I'd set down years ago you have to be okay with this right now or else I'll lobotomize myself. Also there's a rat in the living room.

Thimble knows who and what Thjazi was better than anyone. She didn’t know the details of his half of their operation, by design, but she ran half of it. She was his partner in crime, full stop. When Thjazi was betrayed by an old ally, Thimble immediately went to find him, stabbed him in the eye, and slit his throat.

Laura Bailey has been extremely clear from the beginning, when she told us “Thimble is a stone cold killer.” I’d argue Thimble is a ruthless adversary with vast criminal expertise who only a fool would cross, but in no scenario is she a “good” protagonist unaware of the general nature of what her “morally gray” partner was getting up to. Thjazi’s business was her business. Thjazi was a pretty complicated hero, and she is she.

in the art book it's mentioned that they considered having morrigan and isabela as dai-style advisors, and you know what that means. ultimate-sacrificed or succumbed-to-the-calling hof-romanced morrigan and left-in-the-fade hawke-romanced isabela middle-aged widow yuri. is what that means.
