WARNING LADIES OF BROOKLYN (and maybe all of NYC) DO NOT LET THIS MAN SIT OR STAND NEXT TO YOU ON THE SUBWAY!!! this guy is a serial groper and sexual harasser. One of my high school kids reported an incident similar to mine below about four weeks ago. I sent her this photo taken today (may 8, 1015) on the r train, and she said it was definitely the same man, and was pretty sure he had also done the same thing to her classmate on a separate occasion. Here’s what happened: I got on the R train at court street and he got up from one end of the car and moved over to sit next to me. I didn’t notice this, but the man I spoke to later said he saw it and was concerned and keeping an eye on things. Anyway, he commences gently nudging me with his elbow (which as a usual woman New Yorker, I tried to ignore), and then slides his hand under his arm and grabs my side very hard. (Eta he also kept asking me if I was “Spanish”) When I jumped, I look down and there on his phone screen is a nasty picture of his crooked tiny dick. The gentleman who was watching got up and stood next to me while I took his photo. The groper bolted at the Barclays center stop. I did the alleged “right thing” and went to the police upstairs to tell them and show them the photo, but the male cop simply said “it was just a picture”. I pointed out that he also grabbed my side very roughly, but he dismissed it and said “nothin we can do, how would we find this guy? Red alert?” This is one of the bezillion reasons I do not trust the cops. There are signs on all the subways saying that leering, sexual harassment and inappropriate touching are illegal, but the cops don’t care. Not even if a minor is involved. THIS MAN HAS DEFINITELY BEEN SEEN NOW AND HAS HARASSED AND GROPED WOMEN (one under 18) ON THE R TRAIN IN DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN AND ALSO THE 3 TRAIN NEAR RUTLAND ROAD STATION IN EAST NEW YORK AND FRANKLIN AVENUE STATIONS. PLEASE BE WARY AND STAY AWAY FROM HIM AND HIS NASTY PINKUS DICK PICS. stay safe everyone and please reblog to warn nyc friends.

No Justice, No Peace (4/7/15): On this past Saturday, at least three Black men were killed by the police under questionable circumstances. One of those victims was Walter Scott, a 50-year old unarmed man. The press, hell even social media, seemed poised to sweep this by the wayside as just another death. Today however, a video was released of the killer cop shooting Scott eight times in the back as he ran for his life. This is policing in AmeriKKKa. How many more lives have to be stolen before we do more than just hit the reblog button. My heart is bleeding. Rest in power, Walter– we fight for you now too! #staywoke #farfromover

One set of my 2nd great grandparents. Venie (1884) and Randal Williams(1877). Venie was born on an island somewhere. Randal was born in Georgia. Our familiy lore says that Venie was working for a White family when she met my great great grandfather. The White patriarch didn't want to release my great great grandmother from her servitude, so Randal worked and saved up money in Georgia, went back to the Island, got Venie who was pregnant and they fled back to Georgia, where they owned their own home and land eventually, and farmed. Venie was a seamstress and drove a model T. They eventually settled in Putnam County Florida, where their descendants ran shit "by any means necessary" in the city of Belglade, Florida.
