A Gloomy Existence
Denial; one of the deadly stages of grief.
Also known as my current state of being,
A realm of obscurity,
Caught between dwelling on,
And abandoning memories.
Words of comfort are given,
That are as generic as a sympathy card.
Sorry for your loss,
Of innocence.
Then there are those who send positivity,
it gets better.
They can’t fathom the idea,
that this isn't a passing storm,
More of a grey cloud hanging over head,
As a constant reminder.
Denial; is me,
looking up only to find clear skies.
-Melanie Sheehan
We're not free till we're all free!
Poetry is broken
It is wordscollapsedontop ofoneanother
Like humans when the land has shrunk itself
To hone emotions they must be contained
Butwhat happens when a boiling pot overflows
Burning occurs, anger occurs
And I hate humanity and how held back we are
Like an unfinished poem who hasn’t yet cried
Like a child unloved but it keeps coming back to the source
Mother,
I have treated you unfair and that is fair because you told me
I wasn’t good enough, in all the ways you can tell a person
By not telling them but by how unloved you treated them
In many ways
You cannot forgive me mother says,
and there is a level of unrest throughout the roots
An uneasy ground
We are running back to our past selves
weeping
How are things different after death?

Don't allow your demons to take away your divinity. They might win the battle but you will win the war. Keep going!
Wake up world, there's art to be made!
