Whether intended or not, CHVRCHES frontwoman Lauren Mayberry has become a much-needed defender of late for female musicians who constantly find themselves barraged by online trolls and the endless stream of misogynist comments they leave online.

Okay seriously, the good-goods just keep keep rolling in from the “Free on iTunes” section. There are quite a few gems in this week’s selection, including this track, “Take My Love” by alternative rock group, The Lone Bellow. “Take My Love” sounds like the perfect union between the soft, but heart wrenching sentiments of British band, Bear’s Den, and the rough, rock edge of Kings of Leon. And don’t even get me started on those lyrics. I mean just look at that title, it’s effing beautiful. The whole song is just so full of passion, raw emotion just thrown at you, courageously, beautifully, desperately hoping to be caught.
