Robert Vargas stopped into the shop I worked at the time in Little Tokyo and decided to do a portrait when he saw that the wall behind me was a chalkboard wall. It was really awesome to see him work and I feel like he did a really great job of capturing me.

It’s almost May 4th, which is Star Wars Day (also Free Comic Book Day!) and Lucasfilm, Disney and Neff are celebrating together with an awesome group exhibition of altered Imperial Stormtrooper helmets, entitled Legion. Each iconic helmet has been reimagined as a unique work of sculpture by a different artist from within the Disney empire. The show open on Friday, May 2nd at the Robert Vargas Gallery in Los Angeles and runs through Sunday, May 4th, 2014.
