Baba Yaga’s Hut, in silver and gold plated brass, hand carved by Moon and Serpent Website or Etsy

Baba Yaga is a crone witch in Slavic folklore. The Bone Mother is an old woman with a very long crooked nose, piercing cold eyes, and iron teeth. She is also  called Baba Yaga Boney Legs, because, in spite of a ferocious appetite, she is as thin as a skeleton and sometimes described as having one leg, reference to her link to snakes. She lives deep in the forest in a hut that rests on giant chicken legs that can move around. In some stories her house doesn’t have any windows or doors. In some it has windows but no door. It is said that windows serve as eyes to watch over her domain. The fence post around the hut is built out of human bones and is topped with human skulls.

PSA to all now that is is Pumpkin Spice Season

From someone who worked at starbucks. If you have a milk/dairy allergy AT ALL. DO NOT. I repeat. DO NOT. Drink Pumpkin Spice.

It contains dairy IN the syrup that is used to make the drink. Even if you get it made with soy, you will still be getting doses of dairy in there. 

Depending on the severity and intolerance it can and will cause reactions. I found that as a barista I was constantly warning people about the dairy in the product. No one ever seemed to tell them that there was dairy in the mix. More times than I can count I heard people realize that’s why they kept having reactions, or that’s why it made them sick.

People legitimately do not know that pumpkin spice no matter what you do will always contain some amount of dairy.

Okay so last weekend I debuted Carey at MCM Birmigham Comic Con and I had a BLAST!

So a while back I asked @toodletots to see if I could use their design of Carey to base my cosplay on and they agreed to let me use that reference and and I have to tell you, she wasn’t completely finished (and the arm guards gave up and wouldn’t stay on) but I’m really happy with how she came out!

I’ve never made a prosthetic before but I think it worked really well! Next step is to make my own ears (as that’s the only thing i didn’t make) but yeah. I just wanted to share some of the Carey photos.

Sometimes I mess around with makeup when I’m bored. I was going for a visual kei & shironuri kind of thing.
