zane boodram and shane were in the same timbits hockey program, and their families are friendly. zane’s mom and yuna took a photo of them together once, and once with the whole timbits team.
fast forward to shane and ilya going to bood’s house for bbq, and those two obviously forgot they ever played with the other. so when cassie boodram was chatting to the wags about how cute bood was as a kid, ilya got to see the timbits team pic. and his eyes lit up as he ran out to shane (who was having a very casual conversation with harris) and bood, yelling “WERE YOU TWO ON THE SAME TIMBITS TEAM!??!?!!” shoving the photo to their faces. he also whipped out his phone to text yuna because shane in timbits uniform???? too cute!!!!
and that’s how they got sent a photo with bood all happy and smiley hugging shane and shane staring behind the camera at yuna with the tiniest politest smile. and ilya’s heart explodes.
later, harris made shane and bood take a photo (in centaurs uniform) together and posted a tiktok/twitter post with the caption “And when I'm back in Ottawa, I feel it” (end of beginning as bgm ofc) and it blew THE FUCK up. i’m talking shane hollander/zane boodram tag got 100 fics in a day.

My autistic ass:
- Has timed routines on my phone so I don't forget any steps in the morning (brush teeth, skincare, hair, pack lunch, etc)
- Need to put a tv show, podcast, etc. to do basic chores like putting away the clean clothes.
- Needs a clear circuit and a podcast/ audiobook to not dissociate while going for a walk/run
- Needs a novel activity (sucking on a Lolly, watching a show,etc) to not go into a depressive spiral in the shower

I mean.. I'm working really hard to do the things I have to do and not let my autism be any more defining of my person than it already is.
And if you can't tell when I'm struggling, that's good. I never wanted anyone to see that. But ffs can you not point your finger every time I slip up? But if you see me wearing Them it's because I have decided that staying is important enough, so I put my loops in, don't look at the lights and try to smile and fking participate; because the alternative is I go home.

Not me reading a merthur fic 20 something chapters and 200k words in, just after "that's it, we're going to war" I try for the next chapter (forgetting AO3 is down for maintenance) only to get the 503 E. Such sadness. I have to wait some 5 hours to continue reading. :(

Demigods who made it into their adult years is a fun concept because I'm just imagining a random son of Athena on his late thirties who's like, a Math teacher or something, watching the news about "the storm that was destroying half the country" and seeing through the mist that that's fucking Typhon and seeing his mom and the other gods fighting him and just.
